Great sushi! Take-out only, order with plenty of time in advance as the place is run by 1 person! Sweet Japanese sushi chef worth supporting.

Authentic as it gets. Why? The chef is from Japan.

I placed an order for pickup and it was ready pretty fast! The guy on the phone was so nice. The california roll is one of the bests i've had, and you can tell they make it fresh!! The price is unbeatable, yall should definitely check this place out if you have been curious!

Great little hole in the wall sushi restaurant. Owner is an older Japanese man. Very nice and polite. Sometimes he works by himself and sometimes there's a worker taking orders for him. Best to call and make an order and then go pick up. There's no table to eat there, just order and pick up. I've been going there a few times now and it's pretty good. Price is very reasonable. Definitely recommend.

Only problem is that most times food will not be ready for pickup for a few hours. Accordingly, one needs to plan ahead very carefully.

Japanese food for take-out only. It is best to call to order ahead and pick up by the arranged time.Need to be patient as it's run by literally one-person for everything. Food tastes great, and prices are reasonable. I'm happy to support this local business and can totally appreciate the owner's grind and perseverance.Check out the new expanded menu, including new lunch deals ?

Great food, nice change of pace although the sushi is good its not top notch but still very good Only negative was the wait time for food was about 45 mins. Worth the wait? Maybe not to some

I have given this location a try several times and although the quality of the food is very nice, the rest of the operations are problematic. After my experience last weekend I won't return. First off if you haven't been here trying to reach someone on the phone is impossible it's a small one man show, paper ticketing system handwritten. You have to go in make an order and come back to pick it up later. I went in on Sunday wanting to order one handroll. Visibly I could see there were a few orders but after talking with the cashier he said it would be over an hour wait for one handroll. What's clear to me is this owner/chef is stuck in his ways doesn't know how to prioritize but I've seen this behavior before. Truthfully it's just stubbornness and aversion to change in modern times. Not having an efficient ticketing system or POS for that matter can make things challenging. That being said their bowls, rolls and tempura are quite good, but making an order to this place shouldn't have to be this much of a hassle especially given the other Japanese restaurant competitors in the area. There are better options. That being said I'm all for supporting small business not something this archaic. Such a shame.

Cons - Opens Late at 12pm, Lengthy phone order wait (at peak times - takes a long time) and (at odd times - at least 35 mins minimum as it seems to be just the chef cooking up everything so the quantity of the order also matters), Price has gone up, so the per person cost is no longer in the cheap category for meBut I think it's worth it. I've lately been doing some variation of roll + chicken teriyaki, and it comes with salad (I like their dressing), edamame, and good quantities of chicken (but honestly it's not teriyaki style, but more of a yakitori style with green onions) that tastes sooo much better. I like their rolls at lot due to the rice, from california, shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, and vegetable rolls. Their vegetable rolls made of cucumber/avocado are clean tasting, and flavorful. Spicy tuna is always a constant order for me but I preferred if they had it like in the very beginning with lots and lots of green onion. Also wish they had more avocado in their CA and vegetable rolls. Nts - Garfield - 4pc spicy tuna, 4pc CA, or Turtle 4pc spicy tuna, 4pc shrimp tempura. Salmon sashimi bowl is solid, as is the spicy tuna bowl which is essentially the same as the roll. But this place is hard to pick up food, as you have to plan in advance ; sometimes I would call wanting to eat it, and then get a much later pickup time, forcing me to re-evaluate if I really want to eat here at the expense of my hunger or opting for something that I'm craving less. Really puts me through the decision-making process...

Still great after all these years!! Once you get passed the idea of having to plan and order ahead of time from this place, it's WORTH it in terms of food quality, freshness, and value.Ordered enough food for 2 families. Was given a 45 minute 'ready' time and a follow-up call 10 minutes prior to pick-up.Simple storefront where you walk up and pay/pick up your order to-go. Can't recommend enough!!

This place is delicious and affordable. Honestly I can see how people might have had bad service experiences but the owner hired a new girl to be in front and she's very nice. We called right at opening after reading the reviews and the girl quoted us 20 min for pickup. Got there a little early and it was ready. I didn't have any bad experiences like people on here said but I did bring cash to avoid the $1.17 credit card fee. I'm 100% coming back here regularly. This was the best sushi I've had considering the price and even if I did have a bad customer service experience, it wouldn't keep me from coming.

They have tasty and fresh sushi. I like the diced scallions on top.

Fantastic! Always Fresh -- each order is made to order for your pick-up time. Remember this isn't a restaurant per se,you call or visit to schedule a pick-up time based on what's available. They don't have premade sushi - always fresh to your order.

I didn't even notice there was a small sushi takeout near the carwash by the 60 fwy. If you blinked, you would drive right past since the barber shop sign is right in front of it! LOL! The sushi is very good, you can taste the vinegar in the sushi rice and the fillings are fresh. It's a limited selection, but what they do carry is very good; the California, tempura shrimp, spicy tuna and veggie rolls & salmon nigiri - all were very fresh & delicious! The teriyaki chicken is excellent- grilled & more savory than sweet. The bentos and combinations are a wonderful bargain since you get a full 8 pc sushi with green salad (or salads (green, seafood & squid) plus fried gyoza, kurobuta sausage, dashi tamago & potato croquette for the combo). The veggie tempura is so light and crisp & the frying oil is fresh. Please be patient as the wait can be long depending on orders/platters to fulfill. The owner is the only one cooking, but one can tell that he puts a lot of care/pride into each order. My 88 yr old Japanese mom is an excellent cook, very particular & she loves this place!
