As my friend and I had our doubts at first, we ended up loving our drinks! The owner gave me and my friend a sample of our orders to ensure that we enjoyed the amount of tea and sweetness in our beverage, which I thought was very sweet and thoughtful! One of a kind service. I love coming to a new town and finding a boba shop with some good offerings. Ignoring the bites portion, they allow you to really customize your drink to whatever you enjoy.
I ordered at the kiosk and went with their Jasmine Milk Tea with Oat Milk, less sugar and ice and without the boba cream foam. Drink took about ten minutes to make with all the other orders, but that's okay since the venue had a lot of open space for seating and even some boardgames.
Staff here were super nice. They asked me to sample the drink to see if it was sweet enough before pouring it into the cup. I thought their creation was def sweet enough so no further adjustments needed, but I appreciated the reach out!
My drink was great and I loved the large portion that was given. The boba itself didn't have as much flavor or chewiness to them, but they're always a fine addition to making these drinks what they are.
Next time I'm in Monterey, I wouldn't hesitate to return for another round.

Coming from the Bay Area and having a sharp tongue, I can’t recommend this place. It’s expensive and boba isn’t included in most drinks…and the be boba itself has much to be desired.

A very disappointing first experience at this well-rated boba shop in a great Old Monterey location.... After a 45+ minute wait for 2 boba drinks (only one family ordered before me, and 4 door dash drinks were picked up), we were very underwhelmed by the flavor of our drinks. The boba was very mushy and falls apart, almost crumbly in texture. Both the horchata milk tea and taro milk tea are very weak on the flavor -- the taro tastes almost exactly like melted ice cream (sans taro). After such an extensive wait time, this was very sad!! The shop itself is no frills, and a little grungy with a small futon held together with duct tape. With so many beverage options in this area, we won't be back.

Bobalicious is absolutely amazing! The drinks are always so good! you can tell the owner really takes his time to make sure everything is perfect. The Indian gentleman who runs the place does such a great job with his drinks; Hands down the best boba spot I’ve ever been to! Highly recommend!

If I could give 6 stars I would this is a one man band who pours his soul away not every drink and you can taste the difference for a very good price. If you go recommend the strawberry and cream with the cream form and ask for honey in the comments this man should make it a special absolute best thing I’ve ever drank 10/10

Coconut smoothie was so delicious! My friend got the jasmine milk tea and they liked it. The barista also pours your drink upfront, very cool to watch! Only thing I would add is the boba was portioned smaller so there were only about 2 spoonfuls in hers. :)
