Saturday night is a great time for dinner and music! Frida, an up and coming local singer, filled the restaurant with her songs: originals, covers, Spanish ballads, and yodeling! From 6-8, she performs and it was so beautiful!! The menu is also delicious. From Russian to BBQ, lots of options. The beet borscht was tasty. We also enjoyed the brisket! The hot tea is brewed from organic garden herbs. Variety of bar drinks, too!

The reviews about the blonde Russian lady are not true in my opinion, she was nice and I don't get the hate.About the food.. The brisket sandwhich was great and I liked it a lot. The normal brisket was okay, the taste was good but it was pretty tough, definitely needs more time in the smoker or slowcooker. I also had the pork ribs and same goes for those, also a little tough. But it's a great place for Monterey

What a gluten free find. The waitress/cook/?owner knows gluten free and we had a delicious meal. I had their homemade smoked turkey lentil soup. My boyfriend had their smoked Tri-tip with grilled veggies and finished with bananas foster. So delicious that I ate to much. Love the unique funky atmosphere of 60’s albums on the wall. I would love to attend when they have live music but alas we are only here for a couple of days. However will return tomorrow for some of the other gluten free items on their menu like borscht.Dietary restrictions: Unique and very tasty gluten free options.

Bob Ton L’Roy’s was exactly what we needed after an absolutely overwhelming aquarium experience. The food was incredible (and so much, didn’t even need a side), atmosphere is familial, and I felt right at home. They even played a couple of my favorite tunes. Recommend!

Was going to eat here but when I asked the woman if I could use the restroom before ordering she told me to go outside in the street thinking I was homeless. I couldn’t believe the treatment. Worst eating establishment in Monterey.

I came for dinner to this lovely-looking quirky bbq restaurant. The waitress, Valentina welcomed me in and I was promptly seated (there was one person in the restaurant). I personally love the feel of the establishment. This restaurant definitely has a French-Cajun vibe. Valentina also told me that they have an open mic on Thursdays. This is an adult establishment with a full bar. I didn’t see any high chairs for the kiddos and did not check the restroom. As for the food itself, I got the brisket, bbq chicken, and beans & rice. It came with cornbread. I also saw a pecan pie and had that for dessert. I washed everything down with an iced tea. Yikes… the brisket & the chicken was coated in the same bbq sauce. The brisket was pretty tough, not tasting like it was smoked. For the chicken, got a drum and a thigh. Both pieces tasted like they were brined then cooked in an oven, not a smoker. They weren’t cooked all the way through unfortunately. The beans & rice has sausage for non-pork eaters, and it was fairly bland. The iced tea was fantastic. The pecan pie wasn’t the best slice I’ve had, with the taste of nutmeg overpowering the dish and a lack of creaminess to the filling.Price: $47 ($60 w/tip). I personally wouldn’t come back for the food, but to get drinks and for the open mic.

Incredible. The food was amazing, and they immediately accommodated a group of ten which we were so grateful for. All the food was warm and tasted as homemade as it’s described, even down to homegrown tea leaves. I genuinely can’t praise it enough and can’t wait to go back. A little slow, but considering it’s family owned and operated it was absolutely expected and not a problem at all, and at first a little odd as it was entirely empty but we warmed up to it fast. Such sweet people and well worth.

Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday (11/12/23) on our way down to the aquarium. Didn’t know what to expect. We were immediately seated by a kind older woman. Is wasn’t crowded and and we enjoyed that it was quiet. My wife ordered the vegan burger and the waitress (the kind older woman) said “I’ll make that for you if you want, but the grilled vegetable sandwich is much better” my wife agreed to swap and loved her grilled vegetable sandwich.I was stuck between the catfish po’boy, the BLT, and the gumbo. I decided on the BLT. When I ordered I was told the club I was better so I went with that. The club was so thick it was hard to eat and I was only able to eat half of it (but just finished the second half for dinner).I ordered the bananas foster for dessert and it was very good.I just told my wife I’d like to go back tomorrow for the gumbo and she agreed :)Vegetarian options: Vegan patty burger, grilled vegetable sandwich (recommended)

My family stopped in for lunch. The place was empty but had some nice older music playing. We ordered some cocktails and sandwiches. The waiter was nice and made amazing drinks. The bacon on the club was amazing. The pulled pork was delicious. Definitely recommend stopping in if you are in the area.
