Used the waitlist through yelp. It said to check in at the host stand at 5:03pm. We planned out afternoons activities around that time and got to the hostess stand at 5pm. I did receive a text at 4:30pm asking us to report to the hostess stand, but we were still out and about on our activity. I ignored the text since the system already told me to checkin at 5:03pm. Once we checked in at the hostess stand they informed me that we should've been there at 4:30 PM like the text said. This is seems to be a little confusing, but the staff was accommodating and we were seated right away. The food and view was awesome as always. But the service was not. Our server didn't recognize the sign "stop forest stop" & and we had to fly her down several times to get drink refills or extra sauce and napkins. Still, Bubba Gumps is a MUST DO!

Will come back for our server alone! We came on 9/18 for lunch and it was busy. Our server Jakob was conversational, made great recommendations. Probably the most savvy person I have met in customer service in a long time! Food is excellent. We like the platters so we can do a variety of options.

Severe lack of employees. We are having dinner at this location tonight and the restaurant is half empty. Anyone local know of this is due to management not wanting to hire or legitimate lack of people willing to work?

This place is seriously so amazing. :D Every time we go to Monterrey having dinner here is a must! We were there on Tuesday celebrating my birthday and the food was delicious as always, service was fast and pleasant. The view was incredible and they have the most delicious new summer drinks! I like the fact that I can add myself to the waitlist here on Yelp and just show up when the table is ready. Never disappoints. :)

The service is amazing. The food is good. The whole place is filled with decor from the movie. If you ever come here be sure to get Joel H as your server. He took very good care of us and we had a great time!

Bubba Gump use to be our favorite place to get away and our reason for visiting Monterey -everymember of my family had a favorite dish. Its too bad your manager owner is not able to accomodate customers and decided to cut menu items (Seafood pasta choices) they thought were no longer necessary. Bubba Gump Restaurant would you please add the pasta seafood menu items back on the menu -clams, scallops, shrimp and chicken. After all we are eating right next to the Pacific Ocean. What is the logic? Shrimp is not the only choice item from the ocean!!! This was the reason we left the hot sanjoaquin valley. For the seafood pasta choices. You removed them and you removed another customer. Sorry to see it doesnt go for this many years even after being away during covid lockdown. Would you be so kind to consider bringing it back. Otherwise the food is still great but choice menu items are dwindling.

Absolutely not worth the 1 hour wait. The only thing I enjoyed was the Forest Gump movie ambience. Our waiter literally stopped at our table twice. Once to take the order and once to pick up the check. Our food was dropped at the table by a busser. No other contact for beverage refills. Don't count on your "stop Forrest stop" sign. The food was substandard. Beginning with an appetizer that never showed up. The gumbo was a nasty puke green color and totally flavorless except for heavy cayenne pepper. Dr. Dan's surf and turf delivered decent ribs but the shrimp was cooked to dried out rubbery yuck. Very disappointed. Given the variety of dining options in the area, you would probably prefer something different for your Cannery Row experience

So disappointing! 2 hour wait to be seated, so we opt for togo! Clam chowder (blah), Strawberry chicken salad w / rasberry vinaigrette dressing ( mostly vinegar) coconut shrimp ( minus sauce they forgot).
Typical Bubba Gump decor. The server was friendly and VERY helpful!! The food was good, but nothing exceptional (especially for the price). The wait was long!! The view was awesome.

Steak was good, but broccoli was extremely cold as if it just came out of the freezer.

12 oz ribeye comes with a choice of two sides. I decided to go for mashed potatoes and broccoli. The other sides that you can choose are steamed rice and french fries. You can also get mac n cheese, onion rings or hush puppies as sides but those three will have an additional fee. As far as the steak goes it had a nice buttery texture to it and was cooked exactly how I asked for (medium rare). Unfortunately all along the edges was just fat and it really could use alot more seasoning. The broccoli was just broccoli. I highly recommend their mashed potatoes as it was very flavorable and it could be eaten alone without gravy or any extra seasoning. I like how they kept some potatoes skins within them and had a slight touch of lime juice that I think they added to it. Also ordered a shrimp skewer as a separate side side, although they were decently sized it had the same problem as the steak, where it lacked seasoning. Would only recommend the mashed potatoes from this place from what I tried but it's not the worse I've tried

I will never come here again it was so disgusting salty and not worth the weight. I wish I knew how bad the food was and how much it was not worth it. I am really disappointed and grossed out with how poor the quality was and it just quantity and salt and horrible

Dining outside has a beautiful view, great ambiance! The wait time to be seated was not too bad. Our server, Jakob, deserves five stars. He was wonderful. The Run Across American sampler was good, except for the bland tasting chicken. The main entrees were well cooked, prepared, and delicious!
