This is an old fixture in a neighborhood. Sandwiches are nuts in size. if you get a half, it IS for two - full sandwich is 2-3 meals....no kidding. Fill out a card outside and write down all of what you want on it and go inside and give it to the deli counter worker. Get your drink and go sit outside on the picnic table and you will be taking part of it home.
The sandwich is good- but we waited an hour for a turkey sandwich. I understand they’re a small family business and may have limited capacity, but the boys making the sandwiches were not matching the pace of how many people were waiting.
Arguably the best sandwich I have ever had. The ingredients were extremely fresh, and the bread was amazing. Chip selection was the best I have ever seen. I like hard to find chips and they had all of them. Owner was super nice. Will be back every single time I pass through Monterey.
