I wasn't expecting to eat at the restaurant at all but the weather that evening led me and my friends to give it a try. Menu has a great selection full of authentic Mandarin dishes.

Surprising decent Chinese food in Monterey. Close to authentic Sichuan/Szechuan dishes.

We visited this restaurant during Easter. We ordered Full Moon seafood, Mu shu pork and potsticker. All were very tasty. Portions are quite big, enough to feed two adults and 2 kids. Price was also very reasonable with an excellent service. Overall good dining experience

I wanted a Easter lunch that would make me sweat a little and make my nose run: in other words, a dish powered by Szchwuan peppercorns. The Chongqing Spicy Chicken here was exactly what I needed. Spicy, crunchy, needs rice to tone things down. Note, this is not a runny, drippy, saucy dish, it's bites of crunchy chicken that will leave your mouth numb and tingling. Worth the burn!

Just ordered the BBQ PORK fried rice and a small wonton soup while visiting in town for the weekend as a late night goodie. It was definitely a 10/10.The rice had a great savory sesame flavor. When you add the veggies and meat to the bite, it adds a little sweetness giving it the perfect fried rice flavor. The won ton soup was perfectly salted and had some shrimp, chicken, couple bbq pork slices, bokchoy and, of course, a couple wonton. ? yum! I was sipping the broth, it was so good!Once again, 10/10, would order again.

Food was very salty and service was slow. Public parking was close, so it was easy to park and walk to the restaurant. However, I would not recommend this place if you are looking for an authentic Chinese food.

I'm visiting Monterey for the weekend and walked by this place a couple times, read the menu, and felt like something nutritious before a night of drinking and I was amazed. The Wor Wonton Soup rekindled a childhood memory of a Chinese place I knew as a kid. A few tastes in, and I'm transported back to 5 years old and learning to use chop sticks. It was so good, I cancelled a reservation at L'Auberge in Carmel to come back. And no, I'm not joking. That good. If you're local, or visiting, give them a try.

Quite authentic Chinese restaurant with cheap prices. The most affordable meal in California.

I'm always looking for a solid lunch option that is delicious and won't break the bank. This week I was in the mood for Chinese food and my usual spot doesn't deliver so I decided to give Full Moon a try based on the good reviews. I ordered a Kung Pao Shrimp lunch special. It came with a generous serving of rice, egg drop soup, a veggie egg roll and salad. All in all I was very pleased. The Kung Pao Shrimp had red and green bell peppers, carrots and onions and a nice spice to the sauce. The egg roll was pretty average but crispy and went well with the spicy sauce. The soup was also average and I personally would like to try the hot and sour soup if it were an option. The salad was standard, a bit wilted because it was in with the hot food but still not bad.Take away I would definitely order from here again and am actually considering going to eat there next time I'm in the mood for Chinese food.

Not a pleasant food taste experience. Not going back for sure..1 star coz server was friendly, so much hard chilli in food with bad presentation, wasted our money!

The service was pleasant and quick. We ordered the potstickers for appetizer, and the filling was flavorful the wrapper was thick. The chicken and broccoli was what we expected. The mapo tofu had a nice bite but we weren’t wowed by it. The fried sesame balls came out last, nice and hot. They were small, bite-size and came with six total.

I am thoroughly disappointed ☹️ in Full Moon’s Dan Dan noodles. A complete waste of money! There was absolutely no pork and hardly any sauce. Maybe less than a teaspoon of green onions. DO NOT ORDER this dish. Unless you want to spend $14 for plate full of noodles that cost them less than a dollar. Look at the picture and see for yourself. Also, dumplings while they have a nice filling the wrapper is thick and gummy.I can recommend the Moo Shu pork. That’s excellent and they make their own pancakes.Vegetarian options: Bok Choi with garlic is delicious ? but got overcooked.
