They charged us 20% tips without telling us. We found it and they lied that they do this to other customers too. Again we found they only did this to us. Finally they admitted it and mentioned some Chinese stuff accidentally. Racist.

The food was amazing and flavorful! The spice levels were also perfect, a dish labeled as spicy was actually spicy. I’d highly recommend the panang curry and drunken noodles : )

I have gone to this restaurant several times and have always been happy with my experience. Sam (who I think is the owner) is very friendly. I remember one Christmas when plans changed and we wanted to eat at Siamese Bay. They were about to close, but sat us anyway, and took good care of us! I highly recommend this place! Great food and atmosphere!

We came in for lunch, hoping for some good Thai food. My diet is very limited due to health reasons, so I looked up the menu and knew what I wanted; my husband is a fan of Thai and knows what he likes. My husband starts to order, and is immediately told that they're out of that item. To give him more time to choose something else, I start my order, only to be told that they're out of spinach. Both of us disappointed now, we ordered mussels to share. They came quickly, but while the broth was good, the mussels had an odd chewy texture (a little rubbery) and not much flavor. That was it for us; we paid and left, both still hungry. The restaurant is attractive, but a place that serves food can't survive on ambience alone.

Love this restaurant. Th owner and his wife are really nice people. Was sad that they no longer do the lunch buffet.

Amazing service! Sam is a really great host and the food is absolutely fresh and delicious! Every time we arrive he already knows who we are and what our preferred plate is, always a great experience when we dine here!

Delicious authentic Thai. Learned this is the first Thai restauraunt in Monterey and has open for 40 years. One of the best Pad Thai dishes I’ve had. The owner, Sam, was so kind and we will be back!

Excellent food, reasonable prices and good portions. Service is astonishingly friendly with a great smile and positive energy. Best Thai food in the area. Clint Eastwood apparently loved it and has good picture with the owner at entrance. Recommend it highly. Will only eat Thai food at Siamese Bay.

Ambiance: 5 stars. It has that nice mellow quiet you want in a good Thai place. Service: 5 stars. Friendly, attentive, and relatively efficient. Food: 3 stars. We had a Tom Kah Kai (spicy coconut soup with chicken), which was heavy on the mushrooms, which I liked. The broth tasted good, but simple, and the chicken was dry. We also had a pineapple curry with duck. The duck was good, and there was a LOT of pineapple, but it tasted like it came out of a can, and I was disappointed there were zero other vegetables. So that was a little bit of a let-down. The rice was fragrant jasmine, and very nice and fluffy. We ordered everything mild, and it still had flavor, which was good. But I think I'd go for medium next time. Would definitely consider going back if I'm in the mood for Thai in the area.

I ordered the Hawaiian fried rice.“Fried rice served with chicken, shrimp, and cashew nuts, baked and served in a pineapple shell.”Overall I really enjoyed my meal! Was quite delicious. Mine just wasn’t served in the pineapple shell. After my food was delivered I asked the server about this and he said they ran out. Also, there were only two pieces of shrimp mixed in with the rice.Service was fine. After being seated I waited a while before my order was taken, but then my food was delivered in less than 15 minutes.
