My girlfriend and I went out for a nice dinner together and we enjoyed ourselves! The inside is cozy and clean. Our server was wonderful and attentive. The food was phenomenal. We got the octopus app, which was good but our mains stole the show. I got the pork chop and she got the wagyu. We also enjoyed the old fashions and espresso martinis!

Excellent meal. Great service. Fiancé had the pasta bolognese. It was delicious with a smoky flavor. I had the pork chop. The chop was THICK and so tender. The cauliflower puree and garnish on top of the chop made it extra yummy. Foppiano Vineyards Pinot noir was the wine we chose. We both loved it. This restaurant is definitely one of our new favorites in Monterey.
Ambience was very nice, table was quiet, the soup was great, the shrimp appetizer was marginal and the noodle entrees were very good. Single glass red wines were not very good choices. The mixed drinks were very good. Our server was nice and responsive, seemed a bit new? The wine and the shrimp were the down points, but the rest gave it a 4. $270 for a couple, two bar drinks and 3 courses, + desserts., including 20% tip.

The restaurant is "back", the food and service is second to none - the atmosphere, interior and exterior is great. I'd highlight recommend any new-commers arrive a few minutes early and enjoy a glass of wine around the oursokr fire pits. The restaurant is situated in a thoughtful renovated historic building - amazing experience.
