From out of town and was looking for a burger place that also sales fish & chips. Got both and was disappointed, no flavor on either and the fries were ok but barely warm. Very little seating as well, felt like the other guests were on top of us. Staff was friendly and prompt

I ordered a mushroom cheeseburger. It came out super greasy and lukewarm. My partner ordered fish and chips. This dish came out nice and hot, crispy on the outside, and the fish was tasty on the inside. Decent thin French fries.

Stopped in for lunch as we were walking around the downtown area. Clean, aesthetic atmosphere. Incredibly delicious burgers. Everyone in our party of six chose a different option. I had the Sur mushroom burger, absolutely delicious. Another in our party got the Phoenix Chicken Sandwich, incredibly spicy and yummy with a family recipe of hot coleslaw that was amazing, but definitely not for an amateur palette. Be prepared for the level of heat lol. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend for a great family lunch spot.The fries and mozzarella sticks were so delicious as well.

Good burgers, just wish there was a reasonable option to get each as only 1/4 pound - several of the 1/2 pound burgers sound wonderful, but I don't have the appetite for them. Maybe next time I'll see about splitting one if whoever is joining is interested to do the same.

Surprised by the good reviews - had a salad here and my brother had a burger, and both were only okay. Service was friendly and reasonably fast.
Chicken sandwich was dry and small. Fries were soggy, onion rings were soggy as well.

When I went here pre-covid, it was amazing. Had a burger with fresh-made aioli.
I went after the lockdowns ended for my birthday, and it was a shadow of its former self. Just a basic burger, very overpriced.
I don't know if the ownership changed, or what. But I cannot recommend anyone go here now.

Easily the best burger spot in Monterey! With so many choices on Alvarado Street, this place stands out. Combos are great, decently priced, burgers are great, and while the fries are just okay, you won’t care once you take that first bite. Plenty of space, super clean, and friendly staff
