My wife and I had a wonderful experience at The C Restaurant + Bar! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was inviting—with the added bonus of live music that created the perfect vibe. Our service was top-notch thanks to Carlos and Devin, who took excellent care of us throughout the night. Carlos was friendly and attentive, making sure our drinks were always full and that we had everything we needed. Devin was equally great—super knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. For starters, we had the Calamari and a Caesar salad. The hefty portion of calamari was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of lemon, while the chipotle aioli sauce set it over the top. Really enjoyed the Caesar salad also with the addition of the anchovy fillets to get that authentic taste. Now for the entrees, our reservation was close to closing and unfortunately they were out of ribeye. So she chose the Prawn and Dungeness Crab Pappardelle and I was looking to trying anything new so I went with the Pacific Swordfish. Being that it was my first time, Devin joked that it might not be a good idea because how well it is prepared by the restaurant so I might be disappointed trying it anywhere else. And WOW, I really think he's going to be right! The swordfish, which he described to me as "The filet of the Sea" was outstanding. The grilled taste with the heirloom tomatoes, olive oil and lemon was a great combination. My wife, who is not a fan of the "fishy taste", insisted on trying it after my reaction and boom, same reaction. She enjoyed her dish so much I couldn't try any to even provide review! By this point, we were almost the last people in the restaurant and even though we wanted dessert, we were going to leave so not to hold the staff up. But Carlos insisted it was okay and to try the popular Baked Banaska. We both understood why it was so popular after the first spoonful. We will definitely return soon to sample the rest of the menu!

Food was delicious. My wife's sea bass was a little under cooked. Did not flake apart. She spent the night in the bathroom.

The food was pretty good. Slight recipe changes over the last 3 years. We had frequent this restaurant about 7 times since initial opening. We had the fried calamari and Caesar Salad as appetizers. Both actually has maintained its great taste over the years. The aioli was a tad spicy. The previous aioli served would have remained fine or at least presented as an option. The Seafood pasta at one time remained exceptional... 5 star. They have now added capers which I love, but with this dish I would say no.... The capers changed the original dishes subtlety. The sauce is missing Parmesan. Seemingly the capers were to enhance the Salt element missing from the original Parmesan flavor. Unfortunately the sub of caper flavor did not complement the original flavor of dish. We also had the Chilean sea bass paired with/Crab mash both a small portion to say the least w/ Brussel sprouts. Although very well charred... the Brussels did not compliment the dish. The traditional asparagus and/ or Lima bean would have brought the flavors together. The up charge for the Pana water presented upon arrival as if it was a wine option: insult. The water should have remained complimentary. Last but not least. No Happy Birthday to my lovely wife the entire evening in which I specifically listed when booking reservations on open table. Rectified end of dinner when the waiter gathered our dishes: I asked had the restaurant remembered my wife's Birthday after making my way to waiter register. Overall the furniture is visibly showing signs of wear and tear. Nice place need to hurry and catch a few glitches... or this restaurant will join “use to/at one time club.

My family had the opportunity to dine at the C restaurant on Cannery Row In Monterey this last weekend. Having worked my way through college in the fine dining industry, I feel quite qualified to give this restaurant five stars all around. The service from the hostesses to the bus boys and management was excellent. They were very attentive yet not overbearing.

We enjoyed three appetizers, including tender, but crispy calamari, a delicious garden salad, and savory crabcakes. I had the ribeye steak, medium, rare cooked to perfection with gratin potatoes. My son had the New York cut. And my wife ordered tender, but firm Seabass over a bed of crab-puréed potatoes.

For dessert, we had a rich chocolate something, a banana baked Alaska, and mango and strawberry sorbet.

Great experience! Devin our server was super kind and knowledgeable. They let us know about seeing whales 🐳 and in doing so we also got some great pics 🌅. Calamari was great, lovely savory flavor (with some lemon) and texture, not tough to chew! (the accompanying sauce was good too) Crab cakes were good and maybe it’s just me personally but i think i’ve had better and the biggest thing was the bell peppers were chopped a bit too big/could’ve been finer? maybeee it’s nitpicky and yeah i was a bit under the weather my appetite was less and a bit nauseous BUT i don’t think id ever noticed that in other crab cakes and again think ive had slightly better 🤷‍♀️ but STILL pretty good haha. The chicken entree was very good too. And the milk and honey toast dessert- UGH amazing. They really popped off with that guava jam 💅 great texture on the toast and both the milk and vanilla ice cream SO good, subtle sweetness, creamy, milky. AND OMG THE MOCKTAIL- honestly one of the best i’ve had. Not too sweet, not too sour, not too watery/bland! It was the southwest breeze or something?? can’t remember at all lmfao but raspberry, pear, citrus and we asked them to add cranberry juice (slight tmi, the insistence on cranberry juice was to help w the UTI i was suffering from today 😂😭). Anyways 10/10 mocktail hehe. Lovely very kind server. Inside the music was nice and overall ambiance and seating and really nice view of the water AND you could go outside, so twas great for pics. Thank you for a great evening on a rough day 🥲

My husband and I are locals and come here as often as we can. We always recommend it to any family or friends coming into town. Food, service and atmosphere is perfect.

Nice location but food and service were very average. Prices were very high so overall poor value.
