Beautiful view of the golf course and an excellent menu of tasty choices. Casual and friendly staff combine with great food and a super view.

Service was horrendously slow. Waited 15 minutes to put our order in and then another 25 for our food to come out. We watched at least 3 parties walk out without ordering/eating because of how slow the service was.

Located at the Hyatt Regency. Was desperate for food after a long drive here, would not be back unless it was for free breakfast or something. Service: it took over 20 mins after we got seated to take our order. There are a total of 7 parties at the restaurant, with 2 waiters and 1 bus person; the restaurant was far from full. We almost left because it felt like we were being ignored. During our meal, 2 parties left before ordering. I poured my own water multiple times. +0 star Food: we shared the smoked potato side and the salmon with bok choy rabe and honey miso sauce. Don't get the smoked potato side. Tis bad, did not even finish half. The bok choys been cooked until it's practically liquid. Best part about the meal was the skin on the salmon, it was actually yum. +1 star for salmon Price: $30 for salmon skins not worth. +0 star

Upon arrival, we were told there was a 20 minute wait even though half the restaurant was empty. When we finally got seated, service was horrendously slow. Waited 15 minutes to put our order in and then another 25 for our food to come out. We watched at least 3 parties walk out without ordering/eating because of how slow the service was. Salmon with bok choy Salmon had good cook, but needed some seasoning. I generously used the lemon provided. Bok choy was overdone almost to the point of mushy baby food. Also direly needed some seasoning. Smoked Yukon gold potato mash. Smoke tasted fake, like liquid smoke. It had the worst after taste, so no one bothered to finish. Also lacking in seasoning. The menu sounds fancy, but their food is definitely not matching. Definitely overpriced for what they serve.

Is at the Hyatt Regency in Monterey. They had us wait 20 minutes even though half the tables were empty. Got my kids chocolate milk and they gave us two unopened bottles like you would buy at 7 Eleven. Anyone should know letting a 2 year old drink from a bottle would be a mistake, so I had to ask for kids cups. They only had paper straws, which my 2 year old quickly destroyed. I got a Shirley Temple which was awful and I exchanged for iced tea. (They have Pepsi, not Coke.) My husband also changed his wine, because he didn't like it which I've never seen him do. It took forever to put in our order because our waiter was nowhere to be found. We could have literally eaten in half the time if he had been just a normal level of attentive. The bruschetta bread was mushy, but otherwise okay. The risotto which most of our group ordered was just not good. My husband said, "how hard is it to cook rice?" I got the beet and citrus salad, which was the only really good item we ordered. We also ordered the pasta. And BTW, this is an Italian/Californian restaurant and they only had ONE pasta on the menu. The menu said rotini, but it was macaroni. The pasta was dry and lacked flavor. Even my kids didn't want to eat it, which means it was a hard fail. There are so many good restaurants in the area, so I wouldn't come here unless you want overpriced, lackluster food.

I honestly enjoyed the dishes and service, good location close to my home. The staff members are always very welcoming. Will visit here again.

Nice prompt service with average buffet breakfast selections. An upscale environment with high price Hyatt Place food. Ho hum.

At 7:20pm on a Thursday, the restaurant did not have any of the pasta dishes available. Ironic for an Italian named restaurant. Not acceptable.

Attended 500+ people 5day conference which pretty much booked whole resort. Several lunches & reception hosted for ALL attendees. Can’t imagine the money that was spent. They couldn’t kick in WiFi?

Possibly it is because the Hyatt caters to older travelers, that the breakfast menu at TusCa is bland, even though by description it should be really flavorful? Everyone knows your taste buds deteriorate with age, so why stress them. My spouse ordered the Miga, which was described as a sort of breakfast burrito. It came looking scrumptious, with what looked like a large dollop of guacamole in the center. What it was, was a sort of bland Hispanic Hash; the 'guacamole' was actually an avocado half (with pit still intact). The side of 'salsa' tasted like it came straight from a bottle. The two tiny tortillas were not even close to being able to contain the hash. When we remarked to Carl the wait-staff that a side of sour cream would have been nice, he said "I didn't even think of that." The Dungeness crab-cake Eggs Benedict also looked perfect, but it was very bland. The Hollandaise was bland, the crab was bland, the eggs needed a little salt, and the side of fried potatoes tasted strange. I was sadly disappointed.

Service was great. Our vegetarian dishes were delicious. I got the chicken breast on the side and it was Cooked perfectly in the wood oven. They don't serve draft beer but our server was nice enough to go across the lobby and get us a pitcher of beer and just added it to our bill. Complimentary fresh bread was the finishing touch making this the best meal I have had in a long time.

Sprawling resort with an attached golf course. Feels a bit dated but a great Hyatt Category 4 redemption (as of mid 2019). Tennis courts have no fences..
