If you are one of the unfortunates who have not discovered Bayside Cafe, you are missing out on an amazing opportunity. Everything at Bayside is exceptional! Friendly service, lovely view of the bay, and always fresh fish on the menu!! My favorite is their fish tacos. Yummy!!

My wife and are here for a few days. Stopped here for dinner after walking around town. The cafe closes early so we made sure to get there in time. We each had wonderful meals. We shared the fried green tomatoes with scallops as an appetizer. Highly recommend that dish. My wife had the tostada, which was loaded with fresh toppings and shrimp. I chose the fresh greens topped with catch of the day - in this case, fresh dorado with butter garlic. Highly recommended.

Solid little cafe on the bay. Both kids had fish and chips which were great. Being that close to water, I would have thought fresh fish would be used but they were using Alaskan cod, which was great still. Wife had a Cobb salad which was good. I had shrimp tacos which were fine. Thought they were going to be grilled and they weren't but oh well.

A wonderful place to eat. Seating is both inside and outside on a lovely patio with heaters and/or umbrellas. It is right next the bay and across from the golf course so the view is gorgeous. Service is excellent as is the food. Fair warning, get there early for a meal because they are always crowded. My husband and I aim for 4:30 dinner to beat the rush. They are open most days for lunch but dinner is Wednesday through Sunday. They of course offer seafood but also have a respectable assortment of Mexican dishes. They have excellent clam chowder and also offer it California style -- mixed with a spicy green chili soup. You can also order the green chili soup but fair warning, it is spicy! We've been to this restaurant for dinner many times and it has never disappointed us.

We got into Los Osos pretty late (at least by Los Osos standards) and needed to order something quick before everything closed. We decided to do Bayside Cafe as it was close by and had a wide range of food options for our semi large group takeout order. This place is right next to campgrounds for Morro Bay state park and is maybe one of the best restaurants available to a campground that I have been to. If you are camping in that area you should feel lucky that this place is available to you. Lots of seafood options but also some good healthy (or at least healthier options). One thing that I was flabbergasted by was the California Chowder. This is a clam chowder dish that has green chile mixed in with it. Truly something I have never seen before and it was actually really good. Probably the most clams I have seen in a clam chowder as well. It was packed. I ordered the fish and chips which were good but nothing special. They have some interesting herbed batter on them but it didn't really add any flavor that I could detect. The best thing I had was actually a bite of my wife's order which was the Fried Brie Salad. You are getting a sizable chunk of cheese in that salad and it was fried beautifully. The whole salad tasted really good with the fried cheese bites. We did a takeout order of about 8 people with multiple items per person and the Bayside Cafe took care of it fast. When we picked up the order they made sure we had all the right sauces and condiments we needed. Very attentive. This was a great spot especially near campgrounds.

Probably one of the better clam chowder bowls to be found in Morro Bay. Incredible views from the dining area and convenient access to a short boardwalk loop trail at the other end of the parking lot.

Enjoyed a sunset meal on the heated patio. Wonderful food and service. I've been several times, and it's always top-notch. Garrett was our server the last few visits. He is awesome and accurate with his work. I had the seafood pasta for my main course and it was very delicious. Everyone loved their meals, and we can't wait to come back.

My husband and I ate at Bayside for the first time a few weeks ago. We liked the menu selections and the location. My husband ordered the salmon and was a happy camper. I don't like fish so ordered the chicken and chips - it was okay, nothing special. That said, I have a feeling there are a lot better non-fish selections I could have ordered. We'll go back and now know the restrooms are the public bathrooms nearby (weird).
