Food was good flavor would have rather had more meat on it. Ordered the cheese steak.
Lovely local spot. The burritos were the best! Generous portions.
First time here. Longtime fan of Phil's that relocated to Watsonville. We'll be back. 3 of us ordered the sand dab sandwich. Perfectly prepared. Light crispy coated fresh sand dab on toasted sourdough with shredded lettuce, tomato, thinly sliced red onion, pickles and mayo. Friendly staff and great prices. You won't be disappointed.
I was just there I had ordered a chicken sandwich with avocado, got charged extra for it and there was none in the sandwich. I also ordered one of their hot dog special, I clearly said no mustard, I am allergic to it I repeated myself two times and also said I only wanted specific things on it and when I pick it up it has mustard and not how I wanted it. I call back to tell them and the guy taking orders tells me there is nothing they can do and as he’s telling the cook I can hear the cook say “how was a supposed to know how they wanted it” and also refused to remake it because they were “busy”. When I asked the guy to look at the receipt he said he didn’t have it. I’ve been ordering the same thing for a while and never had an issue until now. Just paid for something that went to the garbage. Never going back to a place where they mess up your order that you paid for and still give you attitude.
Pretty good overall for a quick bite. Friendly service, my Denver omelet was very good. We found this place looking for a quick lunch during 75miles bike ride from Los Gatos to Monterey and it didn’t disappoint. Likely not famous for its coffee or upscale atmosphere, but it’s fast, not expensive and good food, so 5 stars. Ah, one more thing, “cat shack” was cute but no cats sadly.
Disappointing experience with staff who seemed like they could care less. We were heartbroken that the Phil's fish market had moved from it's location and decided to visit this spot to make up for it. Nope, will not visit again.
The service wasn't great but the food was wonderful
I ordered quite a bit from this place over the years and have brought many friends. I recently attempted to order a pick up over the phone and the young apathetic gentleman that answered the phone was not helpful. Very quiet used three words…the rude kid obviously did not want to be there and made me not want to patronize them… I’ll be skipping this restaurant for a while.
Food was ok. It was fast which was what we needed. The website listed is for the place in Castroville. I posted pics of the actual menu.

Never again. Nearly $24 including %15 tip, for what would appear to be a pre packaged hamburger patty, on a grocery store Ciabata bun. Ordered with no onion, due to allergy, but received onion.
The French fries were not edible, as they were so saturated in grease that had cooled, that you couldn't even taste potato.
As if that wasn't bad enough,..then there is a guy, that is clearly hung over, vomiting in the outdoor dinning area.
If it wasn't for the view, then I'd give it zero stars. 7/11 has better food.

This is one of the best restaurants in the 831. Wayyyy Better than any five star Michelin restaurant in Carmel. The special chicken sandwich is life-changing.

Swung by here to break up a 4 hour drive between SLO and SF, this was a perfect halfway spot to stop and get a bite to eat and enjoy the scenery and park across the street. Friendly staff greeted us when we walked in. The menu has plenty of options, so we ordered a few items. We ordered a calamari sandwich, jalapeno burger, fries, and fried zucchini. The outdoor seating area next to the lagoon is great, really pretty and calming to relax at after being on the road for 2 hours. Dog friendly too, so that was a big plus.
The food came out pretty quickly. Good size on all of the food, more than enough to eat for the two of us and our toddler. My calamari sandwich was delicious, perfectly fried and not greasy. The sourdough bread was a really nice choice to balance out all of calamari, tartar sauce and veggies. My wife's burger was loaded up with all of the fixing and it was a nice and juicy patty. It was quite good with the heat from the jalapenos. Crinkle cut fries were a fun surprise, cooked perfectly and not greasy. The fried zucchini were awesome, larger than anticipated and really juicy. Overall a great pitstop on a long drive, though I would certainly go out of my way a bit to eat here again!

Coming back after 2 years to review them on Google as me and my kids can’t forget the taste of their awesome calamari sandwich and grilled cheese sandwich. Hands down the best we have tasted so far. This place was recommended by my physiotherapist who happens to visit them a week before we did.
Do try their menu if you are in monetary, moss landing area.

My husband & I stopped by here for lunch... after reading the reviews, we thought we'd give it a chance and so happy we did!! My husband ordered a double cheeseburger and I ordered the calamari sandwich with a cup of clam chowder and it was soooo GOOD!! My soup had big chunks of clam, steamy hot and very tasty. My sandwich was perfectly topped with pickles, onions, tomatos and a yummy sauce... the calamari steak was cooked just right. His cheeseburger was good and also cooked perfectly. We were both in foody heaven... mmmmm. Portions are pretty big and it's very affordable! There was no wait and we recieved our order in about 10-15 minutes. The lady who took our order was very friendly & nice. We sat outside at the picnic tables in the back and enjoyed the beautiful view of the water, wild flowers, birds & surrounding area. This is now a new favorite for us and anytime we are in the area we plan to come again. What a gem! Truly was a great lunch/dining experience!
