Eat there often while working in Moss Landing. Wonderful and friendly staff. Absolutely the best Philly Steak around (better than I ate in Philadelphia) not to mention their breakfast burritos are to absolutely die for. I'd give 6 stars if I could.

Staff was very welcoming and helpful. We had lunch one day (calamari sandwich, clam chowder bowl and chicken strips/fries) then returned for a breakfast burrito the next day. Everything was fresh and delicious, with the breakfast burrito being one of the best we have ever had. They have a nice patio area out back, which we weren't expecting. We were staying at the KOA, so it was a quick 2 min walk. We'll definitely return!

Ordered a half albacore tuna sandwich. Unfortunately, the worst tuna sandwich I've ever had in my life. Basically I tasted the condiments and not the tuna at all. I took three bites and couldn't eat the rest. Canned Chicken of the Sea tuna was gourmet compared to this. I was shocked. I was taken aback because I love their snapper and calamari sandwiches! Never would have thought the quality would have been like this for the albacore tuna.

So close to the KOA, we love walking over to pick something up. The breakfast burritos are good, and so are the pancakes. We also split a turkey sandwich for lunch and it was big! The cashier is always nice,I call ahead and it's ready really quick. I want to go try their patty melt, chili, burgers, macaroni salad and artichoke hearts. They have seating in a covered patio or outside, and a neighborhood cat that visits. It's a cute little place with great food.

Do great to have this option when the situation down restaurants gets crowded. The back patio seating area has a view of some wonderful wildlife including otters and pelicans. Love the fresh food (especially fish!) and perfect "to go" items for a picnic at the beach too.

I'm a regular the spicy breakfast chorizo burrito, it's super deeelish! I've also tried their very popular calamari sandwich which is also very tasty. Very good service and staff seem to be very cheerful and polite.

Went here the other day. Last time I went was probably five years ago at least and I really used to frequent this place 20 years ago. The stars are because of the convenience, the friendly staff, and the quality of the breakfast burrito. The lack of two stars is because the burritos are now three dollars more expensive than before (yes I know that was 20 years ago) and smaller than they used to be (used to be huge-now they're just big). Unfortunately they used to be better quality in that they were more moist. More salsa and more melted cheese I presume. Lastly, the backyard is no longer green kikuyu grass with a few tables-- and now it's a bunch of dusty awnings, more tables, and gravel. The previous had more ambience I believe.

Big fan of Phil's Snack Shack (or typically I just call it "Little Phil's"). Best prices and good food from a local lunch favorite. However since the fish market moved the Castroville some of the Snack Recipes have been switched up. I'm definitely a regular and always order the egg salad, and lately it's gone from a really good classic/simple egg salad to having a lot of extra stuff in it (red onions, celery, carrots, pieces of lettuce ??? etc...). I love veggies, but not in my egg salad. I don't order the works specifically for this. If the price of eggs is an issue I'll say something maybe a little controversial but I would rather pay an extra dollar for the old egg salad recipe they were using a 1.5 years ago than pay the same price for the current. I will openly admit this is a very "I'm a regular blah blah blah" kind of thing to ask, but could be we get the old egg salad recipe back on the menu <3?

Longtime favorite spot to hit before heading out on the water in Moss Landing or Monterey. Substantial burritos--you will be stuffed if you eat the whole thing. Ladies behind the counter are super nice and friendly, coffee good and refillable. Eggs: freshly scrambled, but a bit in the dry side. Potatoes: fresh and country-style, not particularly crisp Protein: spicy sausage is my go-to here, and quality is excellent Salsa and veg: very flavorful and super fresh, ripe chunks of avocado

Friendly Good price for the huge portions (9.99 breakfast burrito) Open earlier than many of the restaurants nearby in Moss Landing if you're looking for breakfast to go

Fries, for $7?! Terrible. The food is overrated. And the lady at the register is rather rude.
