An amazing place with wonderful caretakers!
Best Cheese fondue ever !
My pup and I took a solo vacation in mid-October in the Laguna Mountains. We stopped at Pine House Cafe for dinner Friday night. I ordered the Quiche Salmon with broccoli and cheddar. (Served with a lovely side salad) It was AMAZING!
It was made there by a woman whose name I can not recall, though I think she was probably one of the owners.

Pine House Cafe & Tavern is a dog-friendly restaurant near Cleveland National Forest, perfect for hikers. The menu offers a variety of options, from sandwiches to French fare, including a French meat pie and escargot. The Eggs Benedict is a must-try, with perfectly whisked Hollandaise sauce. The crispy yet tender potatoes are also a favorite, as are the fantastic fries. The staff is outdoor-minded and PCT friendly, providing excellent service. Enjoy sitting outside among the pines in this old cabin with tremendous charm. The restaurant is kid-friendly, and plenty of parking is available. While the service might be a tad slow, it's part of the mountain town vibe. A beyond burger with a gluten-free bun is available. The view is great, offering a beautiful atmosphere.
