American Restaurants near Mount Laguna

“My pup and I took a solo vacation in mid-October in the Laguna Mountains. We stopped at Pine House Cafe for dinner Friday night. I ordered the Quiche Salmon with broccoli and cheddar. (Served with a lovely side salad) It was AMAZING! It was made there by a woman whose name I can not recall, though I think she was probably one of the owners. I ordered a glass of Cabernet. I had run out of cab where I stayed in the lodge across the street. I asked if I could just buy the bottle to bring it back to my cabin. The server said “of course”. Then the woman (owner?) offered me a glass, to go - with the wine to enjoy in style in my cabin. I was amazed at her generosity. Though the wine was from an exceptionally nice winery in Paso Robles, I declined her offer. I was fine drinking fabulous cab in the hard plastic cup in my cabin. The food, service and prices were exceptional. The offer of a “glass to go” was above and beyond. I’ll be back.“
