Good food, good wine, good service! What else is there to say.!The atmosphere is easy going, the service is outstanding in competence and friendliness. The food is designed to address big hunger after a day hiking, biking or boating. The portions are generous without losing any flavor. If you're looking for a restaurant in Mt. Shasta City I highly recommend the Black Bear Diner.

Ordered an omelet with shreds of potatoes. They potatoes weren't cooked; except the outside edges. They were very much soft raw potatoes. Felt like the server was rushing us out. Gave us our bill, without asking if we would like other items. Which we had planned on ordering to go.

The food was great. But our waitress Brittany was truly amazing. I watched her navigate really challenging customers under insanely busy conditions. She kept a smile on her face and was professional the entire time. If you’re able to stop here, I hope you get to sit in her section.

Both the food and service were mediocre.
My over easy eggs were almost fried all the way through, the ham steak was decent, and the biscuits were hard and bland.

Point of contention, I ordered a cup of coffee, and it says it's a bottomless coffee for $3.99.
I was there by myself and had 1 cup of coffee and two refills, I was charged for three cups of coffee.

I pointed that out to the waitress and she said she'd get the manager to fix it, after 15 minutes that never happened so I just paid and left.

Won't bother going back to any of their locations.

The original Black 🐻 diner and original old school service the morning waitress is very attentive she makes sure your coffee doesn't run dry and the French Toast is my favorite, Congratulations on 30 years and hope you get 30 more.

Not being a fan of luke warm food, unlike Silver Hair and Sneaky Bear whom was it claimed for without eye witnesses, she liked her porage Luke warm also, yet, at the Black Bear Hot, Freshly Made and a smile that can a make your spoon blush with the steamy coffee.

Came in today, and was blamed for the food being cold. Chil bowl was cold as well as the broccoli, so cold the butter didn’t even melt. But some how it’s my fault. Waiter should have had talk with the cook. But I don’t know, I should have listened to the reviews
