Our first time there & such a pleasant experience! We were welcomed so graciously and felt right at home! The entire property was cozy, clean & inviting. Breakfasts were outstanding with fresh home cooked delicacies. We truly made new friends with David & Kris & looking forward to our next visit!!!

We spent a lovely weekend here and look forward to coming back! The location is gorgeous, and we enjoyed having breakfast on the front porch every morning with full view of the mountain and ending each day by the fireplace. What will stay with us long after our trip is the kindness of Kris & David, who warmly accommodated some emergencies in our trip planning and were eager to share hiking tips, stories from their lives, some excellent homemade baked goods, and even just a good laugh. It felt good to be welcomed to Mt Shasta by hosts who clearly have a love for people.

This is a wonderful and welcoming place with the most delicious gourmet breakfasts and stunning views of Mt. Shasta. Kris & David make you feel right at home and their kind and attentive hospitality is world-class. This is my go-to place once or twice a year for rejuvenation, relaxation and as a base for exploring the area. Highly recommend!

Thirty-five years ago, we had a weekend wedding (Friday – Sunday), with the entire wedding party and family staying at the Ranch. It was a wonderful setting and the time there was welcoming and relaxed. Over the years we have stayed there once or twice, but it had been quite some time, and this is the first time we’ve stayed with the current owners, Kris and Dave O’Shaughnessy.

After all this time, Kris and Dave have done an amazing job preserving the ambience and charm of the property and enhancing the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. As hosts they certainly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, while giving us space to just enjoy our time together. As many have mentioned, the front porch is great for coffee in the morning, or wine in the evening with the beautiful Mount Shasta views. They have noticeably improved the landscape and grounds and enhanced the classic beauty of this property. They clearly understood the passion for hospitality that Bill and Mary Larsen had for this place while taking it up a notch.

Our three-course breakfast was delicious, as was the coffee. We enjoyed a 5-Star experience and plan on returning. Please understand what this is – not a modern business hotel, but a step back in time to slow down, relax, and enjoy the gracious hospitality offered here.

I recently enjoyed the great pleasure of staying at the Mount Shasta Ranch Bed and Breakfast. Kris and David are the embodiment of graciousness and service consciousness. I was welcomed warmly at check-in, offered a brief tour of the property, and set up for an overall lovely experience. Fresh-baked cookies were available; breakfast was delicious, and Kris couldn't resist sharing delicious peaches she'd bought by making an amazing peach cobbler! I enjoyed chatting with some fellow guests during breakfast and appreciated the quiet, cleanliness, and sense of care imbued in every aspect of my stay at Mount Shasta Bed and Breakfast.

We stay here several times a year as we travel north and back, and enjoy every visit. This is a uniquely beautiful home with large rooms and bathrooms. It matches the spaciousness of the landscape and the majesty of Mt Shasta, always a breathtaking presence and reminder of nature’s power to heal. Kris and David have it all wired for guest relaxation and we feel so welcome here. It’s a luxury to start the day with Kris’ delicious 3 course breakfast and the coffee is great. Good restaurants in town and plenty of hikes nearby. Good dog walks on and near the ranch.

I stumbled across this absolute gem a few years back and have returned many times since. It’s a lovely change from your usual chain style hotels as each room has its own unique charming design. Kris & David are absolutely wonderful hosts who attend to your every need…especially the 3 course gourmet breakfast!! No matter what your dietary needs they will not only accommodate you but blow you away!! Cannot recommend high enough

Great time at The Ranch. Fantastic breakfast. Great cobbler. The house has a lot of great furniture. Sitting on the porch provides a great view of Mount Shasta and a great way to wind down the day. Kris and David provide a great stay and are extremely outgoing. Highly recommend!!

We have been coming to the beautiful Mt Shasta Ranch B&B for 33 years. Kris and David are outstanding hosts. Always welcoming and friendly, we feel like we are at home away from home.
Kris's yummy homemade cookies, lovely full breakfast every morning along with delicious homemade pastries. David makes sure everyone is satisfied with their meal. The large porch has a comfortable seating area to take in the full on view of Mt Shasta. We stay in the recently renovated cottage which is adorable. It is meticulous, warm and inviting. It is conveniently located to downtown, lakes and golf course. The entire property reflects a pride of ownership and love. Thank you for your friendship, you're the best!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Shasta Ranch. Kris and David are wonderful hosts. I've stayed at the Ranch many times over the years and it really feels like a home away from home.

This Bed & Breakfast exceeded all our expectations!
The house is magnificent and the attention to detail with restored 100 year old furniture creates an authentic blast from the past. The hosts are welcoming, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the house’s history and local attractions in the beautiful Mount Shasta area. Thanks for the memorable weekend, next time we will stay longer to enjoy the sights and hospitality.
