I’ve been to coffee shops all over the place and even owned a few. This is a awesome example of a great coffee shop. Run very well with excellent food and coffee. They know exactly what they’re doing! A welcome addition to Mt Shasta!

My first time there and the coffee was delicious. Great place to hang out on a rainy day.

A nice, clean coffee place that is centrally located with plenty of on street parking. The employees were friendly and knowledgeable. Theory had lots of seating available.

The people who work here are nice. The ambience is nice. The food is good. The coffee is good. The location is good. The Wi-Fi is good. My concerns are that later in the day they don't have any cups or plates to use for indoor eating. Only to go cups and packaging are offered. There are piles of dirty dishes by the trash cans. If I'm eating in, I enjoy using plates and cups that are not disposable. The other disappointment is that later in the day, say 2pm, there's hardly anything left to eat. The paper napkins are hard to access. Ending on a positive note...I really like the metal cups and water available.

A welcome addition to Mt Shasta City! Great coffee, hip environment, tasty baked goods! Many comfortable tables to sit at and stools to take in the town views.

I think people come here for the atmosphere; a spacious, and quiet place to sit and have what many say is great coffee (I wouldn't know as I'm not a coffee drinker). The chai latte was a liquid concentrate & very sweet with not much spice albeit apparently a masala spice chai. The veggie quiche I had was ok. Gluten free crust. They apparently have good pastries & bread but didn't try them so can't comment on how they are. What was impressive was the spaciousness and quiet atmosphere, as well as the friendly, and fantabulous service; by both Brandon & Maddi who are there regularly. They made the experience special. All in all it doesn't have the warm charm of some cafes but the large windows let in a lot of light. It's not the most stunning view being on the corner of Mount Shasta Blvd., bt most people here are reading a book or on their laptop or devises, or talking abc it provides a great no-pressure space for that!

Theory is amazing! Their coffee is second to none, and the staff is always wonderful. All these one star reviews appear to be from people who have never been here, but they are simply perpetuating the laughable lie that Theory Shasta is owned by Bethel. That is a flat out lie and this establishment is NOT owned by Bethel. These sorts of hateful people leaving one star reviews for no reason do not deserve a place in our community. If you sort reviews by lowest, you will see that “Loki Boone” has created three google accounts just to lie about Bethels ownership of theory. It’s some disgusting behavior, and you should give theory a try before hatefully misleading people for no reason.Vegetarian options: Lots of optionsDietary restrictions: They have gluten free options, vegetarian, vegan, and dairy freeParking: Street or free lotKid-friendliness: Kid and family friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible

Please note if you're reading the bad reviews they are by the same crowd of haters because we have people in this town who don't like change or anything progressive. I went and had a cup of decaf and a ham and cheese croissant and it was delicious. We tried the monkey bread and oh my it was good. I am not a big fan of the seating arrangement, nor do I like that my table is a chair (literally), but the service was with the smile even though the place was packed and busy. I will keep going back for that delicious gruyere cheese on that croissant yum!!!!

The coffee and pastry here is really good! I got a peppermint mocha, and it was not too sweet; I could actually taste the coffee.Overall price range for coffee drinks is about $6; the cups look to be about 12 - 16oz, and they do really cute latte art.The pastry is super tasty; I got a bearclaw and split it with my mom. The flaky pastry was good, nice and crispy, and actually had layers in it.Unfortunately when I went they didn't have tables yet so seating is a 3/5.The atmosphere is great, I like the decorations. They didn't play the music too loud either.Overall, pretty good!
