I gave 2 stars just for the food alone. The customer service was amazing! I ordered the Turkey BBQ plate; macaroni and cheese, green beans and mashed potatoes. The dessert was good.

I got the brisket salad for $17 and it couldn't have been more than $1 to produce. The brisket was dry, the bbq sauce and salad dressing were bland, and I'm still so hungry. The salad was 30% black olives and had three cherry tomatoes thrown in. Probably my fault for getting a salad, but I've had amazing brisket salads for cheaper before. I'm pretty disappointed ☹️. I live close by so I might give them another try, but I won't be getting brisket again.

I liked the lunch special I got. The service was genuinely nice, the meats (tri tip and bbq ribs) were delicious. If anything the price to portion size was my main gripe if I had any. $20+ seemed a bit steep to me but I can't help but think how much it must cost to be operating. Their bbq sauces were really good. I think its jalapeño, traditional, and spicy. Jalapeño was my favorite, traditional after that. Give it a try if you're in the area! They also have catering and a large dining area for bigger parties in the back!

One of my favorite places in California. I always make an effort to stop in when I'm in the area. All the meats are slow cooked to perfection. And the sides are plentiful and tasty. The owners like to create new flavors and dish combinations. The pork rind brisket is fantastic. One day they may share the sauce recipe. Can't wait to stop in again when I'm in town.

My friend and I visited Alice's more or less at random. I had a good sandwich of beef brisket and good toppings. The potato salad was good. The service was excellent. The cashier was a vegetarian, and she gets points for answering our questions about meat with a smile. I will return.

This is the 2nd time I've ordered from here and it's the last. They're seriously OVERPRICED!! The condiments requested were missing from my order. Somethings are just plain ole common sense when it comes to food. Makes me wonder about the reviews that gave them five stars.

Tonight I wanted something that seems very hard to find anymore — gravy! Most gravy I find today is not worth eating. In addition some “comfort food” So I had the ribs, - tender and good, some beans, - very good, and I was actually able to order just some little gravies separately ( they were at least good and decent w my meal) to go with potatoes I already had. I attempted to also order the Mac n cheese but it did not register on my order and I did not catch it so I missed that — too bad. I was happy with all of it! Price— in these times I feel lucky that they survive in business at all with good food. Everything near me is pricey!

I usually do not write reviews. However, I saw a very unfair review for the Smokehouse and felt the need to "challenge " the reviewer on a couple of points. 1. Dirty? If the reviewer believes that the Smokehouse is dirty then I would like him to define it. What is his definition of dirtiness and likewise, what is his definition of cleanliness. 2. Rude? I personally am a regular at the Smokehouse and Alice and her staff are one of the nicest people I know. Alice is always more than eager to accommodate her customers. Truthfully I question the validity of this review. I personally have a message for the reviewer. Covid 19 has hit small businesses very hard. We need to do our part to help each other in this critical time. If you are not happy with the food then don't come back. Why would you want to destroy a very decent restaurant over the amount of sauce that was given or not given to you? Even McDonald is charging for extra sauce. The ribs here are out of this world!
