One of my favorite places in California. I always make an effort to stop in when I'm in the area. All the meats are slow cooked to perfection. And the sides are plentiful and tasty. The owners like to create new flavors and dish combinations. The pork rind brisket is fantastic. One day they may share the sauce recipe. Can't wait to stop in again when I'm in town.
My friend and I visited Alice's more or less at random. I had a good sandwich of beef brisket and good toppings. The potato salad was good. The service was excellent. The cashier was a vegetarian, and she gets points for answering our questions about meat with a smile. I will return.

I liked the lunch special I got. The service was genuinely nice, the meats (tri tip and bbq ribs) were delicious. If anything the price to portion size was my main gripe if I had any. $20+ seemed a bit steep to me but I can't help but think how much it must cost to be operating. Their bbq sauces were really good. I think its jalapeño, traditional, and spicy. Jalapeño was my favorite, traditional after that. Give it a try if you're in the area!
