Love this place! The turkish breakfast is amazing, the baklava is pretty good. It can be challenging to find seats during peak hours.

I got the mix platter which was pretty expensive ($40) but oh boy all the different meats were amazing and on point. Would definitely go again for the meats.Service was a bit tricky with a few different waiters taking orders and bringing stuff, sometimes mixing things up. We all got the right food and drinks in the end but it could have been smoother

Ordered the mezze platter and got to try out a variety of appetizers. The middle green dip was my favorite. Just the right amount of spicy and tangy. Illiano is a sweetheart. Came in at 1pm and lingered around until 3:15ish. The place closed from 2:30-4:30pm just for today. Fully expected to be kicked out but he was super kind about it. Came over and chatted and didn’t seem to mind that we were still there. Follow his Instagram! cafebaklava1

I want to share my recent experience of visiting your restaurant. Yesterday, around 7 p.m., my husband and I came to your establishment. We were greeted by a polite waiter who informed us that there was a table available but we needed to wait a couple of minutes for it to be prepared. While we were waiting, a manager?? (a man with glasses) approached us and immediately claimed that there were no tables available without even checking. This surprised us, and we were left in confusion, unsure whom to believe – the waiter or the manager. At that moment, the same waiter came back to us to escort us to our table. Then something interesting happened: the manager started speaking authoritatively to the waiter, insisting that there were no available tables and that we should join the waiting list. However, the waiter insisted that there was a table. When I directly asked if there was a table or not, the manager began reprimanding the waiter in front of all the guests, asserting his authority as the manager and claiming he would make the final decision. Occasionally, he even switched to another language, but his disapproving tone was evident regardless. Ultimately, the manager provided us with a waiting list and a pen, stating that the wait time would be 30 minutes. I wrote down my name and phone number. Despite waiting for more than 30 minutes, I never received a call back. I am sharing this experience because, firstly, I believe it is unfair to publicly reprimand waiters when they have done nothing wrong. And secondly, waiting 30 minutes for a call without receiving it is, at the very least, not customer-oriented. I hope my feedback is taken into consideration, and that such incidents will not occur for other guests in the future.

Quaint little restaurant with a rustic ambience. I recommend getting lamb moussaka. Kebabs were really good too. If it isn't made apparent, have a glass of wine too.

One of my favorite Middle Eastern restaurants. If I feel like eating Kabob (or Kefta), this is the place. We also tried hummus avocado which is super delicious. Wonderful staff and a pleasant

In one word, their pitas were wonderful. I highly recommend it to everyone?
I was pregnant and looking for pide. I called the restaurant, explained them the situation and my husband picked up the pides. The worst ever, anyone who knows Karadeniz pide would be ashamed to send those to a customer. And he did it knowing I’m pregnant and sending my husband 20 miles to pick it up. Do not order online or pick up - it’s waste of money

East or West, cafe Baklava is the best ! Best food I had in a while. Awesome service by Mustafa - so helpful in picking the best items. We loved it and will be back with rest of our family members. It’s amazing this resturant has been here for 18 years and I missed it for two decades. Everything was perfect, food, service and ambience.
