We made a reservation for a dinner to celebrate my niece’s graduation. She attained her Masters in Family Therapy from the University of Santa Clara. A very important occasion indeed! There were five adults and a 4 year old girl in our group. Everything about being at Cascal’s contributed to making it a most special night. The food was tasty and beautifully presented, the service was outstanding and the music from the live group was most enjoyable. We ended the evening dancing in front of the musicians to songs from The Gypsy Kings. Thank you, Cascal for a most memorable evening!
Great!
Ordered a bunch of tapas plates amongst 4 of us. All the dishes were good.

I highly recommend this restaurant! We dined there on a Friday evening, and the live band was fantastic. The energy and atmosphere were incredible! The food was outstanding—full of flavor! We had the Spanish Caesar salad, black bean soup (which was amazing), croquettes, and Cuban wraps. Each dish was packed with flavor! The drinks were great as well. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Great tapas food. A favorite for many years. Lots of outdoor dining (ever since Covid). Indoors can be a little noisy, some sound absorbers might make a difference. Happy hour prices are worth going early for dinner.

This restaurant serves delicious Latin cuisine. It was a Tuesday night dinner, and it seemed to be a popular restaurant, so even though I had made a reservation, I had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. In particular, there are many types of paella, and you can also choose dishes for vegetarians. For drinks, there are a wide variety of cocktails, and the homemade sangria is recommended. There was a wide variety of sweets, and they were all delicious.

Excellent ambience, great place for official gatherings or quiet family dinner. Both food and drinks Menu selection is great. Tamarind mezcal Margarita was different but awesome. had eggplant tian as main course. In dessert Flanagan and cheesecake were awesome. For a fine dining the money spent was worth it. The food was prepared fresh.
Vegetarian options: Try eggplant tian

Well, let's be honest, it's open late for the Peninsula :-), which means they'll serve you at 9pm. They're friendly, they (used to???) have tasteful live music some nights, and there's extensive outdoor seating with heaters.
The squid ink paella, when they have it (and they haven't had it in months), is very fabulous.
Not so great: the wine list. But the mojito is good and they make a more than decent caipirinha too.
Cascal has managed to retain many of their staff for well over 15 years, and I think that speaks well of them.
