From the last minute reservation celebrating anniversary to the cozy booth in the back, the experience at Don Giovannis is outstanding. The waiters are prompt, the food is excellent from the bread and herb and oil blend, to the bruschetta and garlic bread apps to the lasagna to the wine. Amazing quiet and lovely experience. Highly recommend!!
I love the food and the service, and the space was so clean.

We found this place through Synergy gift card network and went to this place to use Synergy gift cards we had. We had ordered a lot of food and drinks and then they refused to take our Synergy cards and stiffed us with a whole bill. Very dishonest and crappy of them. I will not go there again as a matter of principle despite liking the food and I will make sure all my friends and family know about their dishonesty.

We were there for Christmas Eve. The staff could not have been friendlier. They made us feel so welcome
We came for a group dinner with a fixed price of $70 per person. The restaurant asked us to choose from six menu items using chips placed on the table, with only four chips per item. When we asked what would happen if more people wanted the same dish, we were told not to worry and that more chips would be provided once everyone arrived.
After everyone arrived, most of our group wanted to order the steak and filet mignon, but the staff suddenly said those items were no longer available. This was very frustrating since we had already agreed to and paid $70 per person based on the understanding that we could order any of the listed menu options.
Offering other dishes at $60 afterward did not resolve the issue and made our group feel disrespected. A restaurant should honor what they explain to their guests. Unfortunately, this place did not.

Terrible restaurant. Risotto was swimming in its water, seafood tasted like plastic and plate was served very late. Never again.

We are a doctor's office, and we had our staff holiday party at Don Giovanni on December 10. I have dined here many times on my own, and I decided to host my office holiday party here. I worked ahead of time with Roxana to pre-order the appetizers and main courses, and everything was ready for us when we arrived. The food, service and ambience were all 10/10. I had the grilled petrale sole, and it was to die for. Without equivocation, I highly recommend Don Giovanni to anyone in search of a great Italian meal at a reasonable price in the Mountain View area.

Was very nice , had birthday dinner there. Food; was perfect, service great. Drinks; we had to ask for them to take our order for drinks past the point of receiving the appetizers. Decor; if decorations are going up for holidays make sure they are updated and look good. Decorations seems a bit old and dated. The tree in the middle of the room is a great opportunity to put some pretty white lights on it and make the room more inviting.. Other than that, everything very nice.
Great food and wine and wonderful understanding staff and service
Went here after seeing a performance and we were there a little early. They weren't busy so we got seated right away. They had a beautiful Christmas tree so we chose to sit near that. The service was excellent! The food was very authentic and reminded us of when we were in Italy. Highly recommend this place!!
Our host/server was very attentive and helpful. The food was very flavorful and tasty. However, we had a poor experience with dessert. We had ordered a chocolate lava cake which the host brought to us. When we cut into it, it was solid from inside (no melted chocolate oozing out). We could not find our host/server so asked the server who was walking around about it and he pointed to the soft interior and said "this is lava". I explained that the lava cake is supposed to have a bit of liquid interior but he did not seem to agree. We had ordered that cake for $15 hoping for a lava cake. In my opinion, that piece of cake was overpriced, given it was not done right.
Very good old school Italian restaurant in Mountain View. Extensive menu with options for everyone.
