Every time I visit GK Pastry in Mountain View, I usually get the jalapeño cheddar bread (so satisfyingly good, toasted or not), but this time I tried the tomato cheddar bread—crunchy exterior, soft and chewy interior. Awesome toasted. My other go-to is the chocolate jar cake. The chocolate they use is delicious, not too sweet. This time I had the mixberry jar cake. A nice, change-up. Never disappointed. Definitely try and support this local bakery! They opened a new location in Los Altos, too.

We were referred to this place by some good friends of ours. I like their sourdough bread and my favorite Crab Meat Focaccia. They also have a variety of cookies and cake in a cup as well as small cheesecake deserts.
After 6pm most of their items go on sale which I think is the best deal.

I love GK bakery because they offer high quality bake goods made of mindful ingredients.
They have the best sourdough bread in my opinion. Not rock hard shell, squishy and enough chewiness inside, and flavorful. Sourdough comes with several flavors but I like the tomato-cheese and jalapeño-cheese the most.
I also love their cake in the jar. Tiramisu is my go to. Simple enough ingredients without artificial flavors, colors and chemical preservatives.
Their sourdough sticks are also a good snack to keep yourself company in traffic!

As a fan of bakeries, I can confidently say that GK Pastry in Mountain View is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you'll be charmed by the immaculately clean store, which has so much character and warmth. It's more than just a bakery; it's a cozy, inviting space where you can see and feel the care that goes into every detail.
And the treats? They are phenomenal. The amaretti cookies are nothing short of incredible—they are absolutely to die for. But that's just the start. The incredible variety of cakes, pastries, and breads will have you planning your next visit before you've even finished your first. Each item is freshly baked and amazing, showcasing a family-run business that is passionate about quality and flavor.

My favorite was the mushrooms and peppers, and I also tried the mozzarella with tomatoes. Both breads were soft savory, and the customer service here was excellent.

This local artisan pastry shop was introduced by our business partner who brought pastries to share.
The croissants were amazing!!
Update: taste tested with my husband and he chose your bakery over the other popular artisan bakery.

If there is an award for the top bakery/pastry shop in Bay Area, this has to be it.
I’ve come to realize that I don’t have any pics. But that’s only coz I couldn’t resist eating everything I ordered.
Goat Cheese and Artichoke Foccacia ($12) - Top class.
Pistachio crossiant - I like it a lot. It’s more in the crunchy side.
Coffee - Hawaiian style coffee. Very good. Dark roast.
Tiramisu Jar Cake. - fantastic
Honey jar cake - not too sweet. Very good flavor profile.

This unassuming strip mall bakery is a hidden gem. Their savory focaccias are my favorite, made with fresh ingredients and a delightful balance between dry and saucy. Their seeded breads are chock full of the yummy inclusions, no skimping here. I brought some of their gluten free cookies to share with friends and I don’t feel like it was a compromise at all — the cookies were not cheap but they were tasty and enjoyed by all. I look forward to returning to try more.

Delicious 😋 Especially the focaccia with strawberries — it’s a work of art. I also really love the blueberry focaccia — it’s absolutely delicious too. They bake everything right there on the spot, which I really appreciate

Among the best family owned bakeries in the Bay Area by far. Good selection and everything is fresh. There are delicious sourdough breads, foccacia, cookies, ice cream gluten free jar cakes, and so much more. I was surprised to find Dubai chocolate foccacia and Dubai chocolate bars. The best part is that everything here is affordable.

Went today and got all varieties of croissant (I'm on a mission to find my favorite croissant in the South Bay). They were all fabulous! The plain croissant was fresh, bouncy, and crisp, with a great flavor. The pistachio was fantastic, and very unique. The chocolate was a lovely classic.
The staff member present was very polite and knowledgeable.
So far, it's my favorite find!
