Just came back from Mexico City. I went there looking for an authentic culinary experience that wasn’t your typical street taco.
….To tell the truth, I was a bit thrown back. La Fiesta, the spot just down the road that I’ve been going to for years IS that experience. I just didn’t realize it until I was in the heart of Mexico
Great drinks and tons of Margarita variations. I like the Yucatán
I like a lot of the Pollo variations but I usually get Pollo Rajas or the chicken Enchiladas. On the enchiladas I typically ask for them “divorciados” with the Mole sauce and the Grandma’s special sauce or sometimes the Red. I get them “Tampiqueño” (with Steak added) sometimes too. I like to branch out and try new things but the grandmas sauce is just so good, so divorciados allows me to test new things while still getting my fix.
My dad likes the Chile Colorado.

Love this place, been coming here for years. Pretty much on the menu is good, and good margarita options.

Amazing. Off the beaten path, but so with it for the special sauce and lemonade.

A solid Mexican restaurant in old downtown Mountain View that has been around for many years. The food they serve reminds one the old times. Their mama’s special sauce over chicken or enchiladas has a unique combination of tomato sauce, cheese, and spices, very rich and memorable. Chicken soup was homey. Service was attentive. Price is a bit high compared to other Mexican restaurants. We only wish they would serve some vegetables (e.g., lettuce and tomatoes) on the side as many other Mexican restaurants do.

My ohama and I have been coming here once a week for the last 10 years. They consistently produce great food and great service. They all treat us like a part of their family.

Understaffed and/or poor service. Waiter took our order and then disappeared the rest of the night. We waited 1hr for the food, which never arrived. So we left.

Good options for vegetarians, especially the mole and the grandma’s enchiladas. Service was fast and the staff was very nice. New favorite in the area!

It must be kidding with this price range and ahitty food. Chicken soup off and sour. Burrito, fajita and carnitas all terrible. Disgusting!

We’ve been coming here for years and the owners are incredibly nice. The portions are massive and highly recommend getting any burrito “crispy”. They broil the burrito and it tastes so much better.
