The quality of food here is excellent. The availability of some of the menu options also depends on whether you visit for lunch, dinner, or brunch. The dinner menu is a bit limited and I wish they added Weisswurst and Wiener Schnitzel (veal) back to the dinner menu. But overall, dining at Ludwig’s is a great experience. My favorites are the Jägerschnitzel and the Currywurst. They also have a great selection of beers, of course, and the cocktail options are great as well.Parking: Small parking lot in back of restaurant plus plenty of street parking near by

Great food, fun outdoor seating! We wanted a quick, but filling meal before heading to SFO and Ludwig's was perfect. In and out in well under an hour and the food was incredible.

Very authentic German food. Pork knuckles cooked perfectly moist with crispy skin. Schnitzel tender not oily with interesting pasta spatzle . Sausage sampler had very different style and flavor sausage. Must have pretzel. Safe room for Apple strudel and don’t share it! Amazing selection of beer on tap. Forgot to take pictures.

Living the life
We just don’t appreciate that they charge Living wage % from the customer and fail to disclose it in the menu or in the cheque even when you ask. The only time you see is when you insist for the receipt after paying them. So Beware of such business practices. Customers should never be responsible for your employees, we are giving you our business in this economy should be enough. We don’t get the % of your profits, so think twice before you are sneaking in those charges to your customers.

Sausages and cabbage! Oh yes! The waiter, who was fantastic, giggled a bit when I ordered a back up bowl of pea soup, because the serving sizes were huge! The hubby ordered sausage (3 options to choose) with mashed potatoes and cabbage, with the most delicious horseradish mustard! Pure and simple comfort food -easily 2 meals in one order. More yay! Also, the waiter brought a taste of the mulled wine they make for the season (and sell through the end of January) oh my goodness, more comforting deliciousness! Totally worth a stop in downtown mountain view. Prices were more than reasonable-great for any age and group size.
