I visited once years ago. My office had provided a budget to buy cake, and I wanted to scope out our options.
The manager was standing right in front of me and stared at his phone instead of fielding my question about cake orders.
I don't know why he was acting that way. It felt like he didn't think interacting with me would be worth the effort. To this day, I still have a hard time walking into this establishment.
I’ve been to this place twice and the customer service as other reviews mentioned has been really bad.
Both times the person with glasses took our order. He rushed us to order quickly , didn’t answer any questions , seemed so annoyed by us like he was doing us a big favor.
The food is decent but definitely not worth experiencing this treatment.

Mediocre food and extremely poor service
Got both dessert and items from kitchen
Dessert was the only good thing about the entire experience and everything else goes down hill quickly
Salad looks like has been in fridge for 5 days at least, croissant lacked proper structure , latte was over steamed, and hot chocolate was more like chocolate syrup
On top of that, simple breakfast food item came 20min after ordering. When we enquired politely about how long we have to wait, the server literally rolled eye at us and told us she doesn’t make the food….. it’s really ridiculous since we expect to tip 15% upfront when ordering at the counter.

Be careful with the macarons, check if before you leave. We got two boxes to go, and one of the boxes had a crushed macaron and a couple of macarons that seemed to but smaller.

I have never had a bad experience like this before.. we were waiting in the queue to have some good pastry and coffee just to enjoy our Saturday night then a cashier person started to shout like “line start here” as we were right in front of the point where the line starts… it was very disappointing and mean!
He was way angry nobody understood why.

The chocolate hazelnut croissant is too good. But I'm rating this place low only because we ordered 2 croissant to go and paid for 2 of them but only got one. Sadly we trusted them and never checked right there. Highly disappointed.

Ordered 2 croissants to go. Was charged for 2. Just received 1 in the bag. Very disappointed.
Plain butter croissants are fresh and tasty.
Update: gave this place another try today (Jan 4) and unbelievably had the same poor experience! Waited behind 3 people in line at the pastry counter (where a sign says 'line starts here). All 3 got served fairly quickly. When I got to the front of the line, I wasn't acknowledged or served. Staff making coffees, and serving at the register. Waited for 5 minutes as other people walked in and joined the queue at the cash register. They then got served. I gave up and walked out. So annoying, but at least I know not to bother now.
I rarely give poor reviews but having visited twice, the lack of service both times has just made me intend to never go back. Despite only one person in front of me, it still took nearly 10 minutes to get served at the counter whilst multiple staff were there busy packing to go orders. And they still ask for a tip even when you're just picking up a pastry to take away. The second time I visited, I waited to be served in the correct place at the counter by the signpost specifically telling you to queue there, and a woman walks in behind me and goes right on by up to the cash register, and is served immediately by staff that had seen me waiting. Very confused by the set up I'm afraid, and the admittedly lovely looking pastries aren't enough to make new waste my time again.

One of the few decent French bakeries in the Bay Area. But be ready to pay at least three times of what you’d pay in the best bakeries in Paris!

Ordered a cake today for the new year and requested to have a “happy new year” note. Unfortunately I didn’t check the msg, instead they put a “happy holidays”. Cake looks good but make sure before you take home your ordered cake with a note check them before you go. We wanna have it for midnight count down (also for. Picture) instead we’ll just have it now. T.T
On their wall are their values, two of which are RESPECT and HUMILITY. We received neither of these from the staff nor the owner. There was no sense of wanting to right a negative experience. They had no interest ensuring that we were happy and willing to return.
There was no menu posted and the one available online was too difficult to navigate. So we asked the server what options were available for quiche. She said, “Lorraine and bacon.” We ordered the bacon quiche. When ringing us up she said, “quiche Lorraine” and I said “bacon.” And she corrected the order.
We took our seat. My cappuccino and chocolate croissant arrived quickly — both very tasty — as did my partner’s decaf americano. They left the number on our table so we assumed that the quiche was on its way. A couple sat down next to us. Both of their omelettes with salads arrived; still no quiche for us. Another couple sat down, and their omelettes arrived. No quiche for us. I approached the cashier and inquired about the status of our quiche. She went to the kitchen to check and reported that it would be another 8 minutes. After about 10 minutes more, a quiche emerged from the kitchen and was served to a different table. Whoops! That was our quiche.
Forty minutes have passed and my partner is hungry. When the quiche arrives, he slices into it and there are only veggies. No bacon. This begins another 15 minutes of arguing with the staff. No, no, there IS bacon in there. Nope, bacon is NOT there, only mushy veggies. But I make this quiche everyday, it has bacon! We want to move on, we request a refund. We are put on the phone with the owner, who argues with us about our order. They don’t carry bacon quiche, it’s not on the menu, why didn’t we look at the menu? He refused to give us refund, we stood our ground. Eventually they were able to give us cash.
It turns out that they were saying “vegan” instead of “bacon,” which might have been a funny miscommunication, if they hadn’t been yelling and arguing with us the entire time. (Interestingly enough, when we were finally able to find the quiche on their menu, it is listed as “veggie.” They have neither a bacon nor a vegan quiche.)
As for the food we did receive: The cappuccino had silky smooth foam and rich espresso. But the decaf Americano was NOT decaf; it was extremely watery with very little flavor. My partner is highly sensitive to caffeine and he started to have heart palpitations and difficulty breathing.
We will not be returning.

Great pastries and brunch items. They only had one menu for the line which I thought was odd. Might want to print out a few menus.
