I ordered rare prime rib and I believe they sliced a piece of raw meet and then grilled it instead of cutting off a slice of a roast. My partner ordered the Christmas dinner special of ham and scalloped potatoes. The ham was dry but the potatoes were good. We had to wait about 30 minutes for our food. They kept saying there were a lot of orders but I counted 5 empty tables just on one half of the restaurant. Not sure what was going on in the kitchen but others were complaining too. The manager was/always is nice but a little disappointing since I go to this restaurant frequently.
We ordered food as precisely how we wanted. Waited for our food for an hour and 15 minutes. It was an unbelievable wait time for a nice restaurant like Lucky Pennys. It could be the waiter forgot to turn our order in or the cook people were negligent. Been coming to this restaurant for years and never had a bad experience such as this. We will not consider coming back.
This Restaurant is not a Fancy Place.. Nice but Loud and It is Cafe Food, although this was Christmas Day so There were Specials... Food was OK... Waiter was Rushed
We love Lucky Penny and dine in n a regular basis. However, this past Xmas menu, Ham plate was not good at all, it was dry. Prim rib was very tasty except broccoli. And service was not up to par, provided that it was busy. The food and service is always great but not this time. But we love Lucky Penny!
It seemed like there was not enough staff to cover the number of customers visiting on a holiday. Service was good but slow.
Terry was care me on my lunch time. So professional, respectfully and so good customer service. The food was coming on right time, always ask me if I was needed something ad so comfortable with him.
Steak was amazing, and the coffee is super fresh and delicious! Even though we dined on Christmas day, our server was very attentive and friendly with us
One of the best Hotel Coffee Shops I eat at. The ambience, service, food and drinks is simple but enjoyable as the Chef's are great and fast. We can never be disappointed at the Lucky Penny Cafe.
We dined on Christmas Eve. They did not offer a special menu but there was plenty of choice on the regular menu. My mom had the clam chowder, which she loved. I had the loaded nachos with chicken. Portion size was more than a person could eat but I didn't care much for them and wouldn't order them again. We didn't have room for dessert but the cakes and pastries in the bakery are looked delicious. If you are at Red Rock and looking for a casual meal I highly recommend Lucky Penny.
Great Service...the omelet was always great as usual. Salmon has greatly improved when the right chef is in the back. Best calamari in town!

Cute spot on Castro St, right in the heart of downtown Mountain View - so lots of foot traffic and lots of customers inside. This place has a cozy upstairs spot that is filled to the brim with laptops, and the people that are operating them, including all the hushed (and not-so-hushed) conversations that go along with video work meetings and collaborative vibe-coding. Next time I go, I think I will record the conversations I couldn't help but overhear and write a classic SNL sketch. The almond milk Chai I enjoyed was foamed to perfection, the perfect temperature, with all the necessary flavors balanced just right - wonderfully executed by a friendly staff. That being said, this loveliness comes at a price - my 16oz drink cost me $9.75! The most expensive 16oz almond milk Chai I have ever purchased. Red Rock is hitting all the right notes, and they're located in a spot where there may be enough customers to support prices that are roughly 30% higher than comparable coffee shops around the area. I enjoyed my visit, and may likely visit again, but if I lived nearby, I couldn't support spending that kind of money every day.

Good coffee and a fun open mic night on Monday (they even liked me when I played).
Many think of this as a cafe or even a deli. It's so much more than that. The service is really great and friendly. The restaurant decor is light and airy. The pastries are terrific. For a real treat, try the perfectly cooked salmon with grilled brussel sprouts and delicious sweet potato puree! It's a bargain and maybe the best you've ever had!
25 minute wait, the line is empty, i don't get why it takes this long. Still waiting.
Skip this one.
Edit: when I finally got it they didn't even get the drink right.
