As always sakoon never disappoints !! went for their lunch buffet with my family today .every dish was perfectly crafted.the goat curry was a stand out.the paneer perfectly blended in the orangish gravy( couldn't remember the name of the dish ).the Naans were fluffy and buttery served hot on the table. especially the servers were quick in clearing the plates and we just core the ambience of this place !! All in one it was a perfect lunch ,definitely will go there again

Go to Mantra instead. I tried it this past month and it was way betterFood - Went for the buffet. Lamb was chewy, naan was thick, the gulab jamun had a tough interior.Food was out at 2pm, they were not refilling the dishes and were out of dahi bada, paneer in paneer gravy(two people asked them for it but the staff didn’t give two hoots), the puris.Choice of menu was also poor.Tea had no option of sweeteners just sugar lying aroundService - We were still having our food when the waiter comes with the check machine. This is a stark contrast from Mantra where you pay while you’re going out.The waiters literally see the plate lying on the table, come towards it and then ignore it. Again a stark contrast to the fast service at Mantra.Ambience was the only thing ok at this place. I do not like it’s so dimly lit

Whitewashed Indian! Appetizers were good (dahi ke kabab and tandoori triple play). Naan and lachha paratha were fine but rumali roti is basically tandoori roti which was quite disappointing. All the entrees tasted too sweat and the flavors were quite similar (subz jalfrezi, paneer peshawari, sunheri murg). The service was also rushed even though there wasn't a crowd.

Terrible service to a disappointing meal - I wanted to spend nice lunch with my family. Ambience is the main reason , as expected standard lunch buffet but no where close to authentic Indian food. Anyway that doesn’t usually disappoint me - what made it worse was service in which waiters taking your plate while eating, even that can be excused they want to change plates . What broke was the waiter came announced - leave once you are done people are waiting, while my wife was still eating. No one was waiting either, complained to the manager he was first defensive then he said he will check. No apologies whatsoever . Never coming to Sakoon.

I loved this place, which is close to my office at MTV downtown. I am choosy about food (vegan), and surprisingly there are plenty of delicious food options. I am sure, you will not disappoint. Lunch buffet is the best as you will have so many options under $20.

Great spot for delicious Indian food in a somewhat nicer atmosphere. Most curries are pretty good and the portions are generous. Really recommend the achari chicken tikka as a starter for sharing.Unfortunately, they don’t have rosemary naan any more, that was super delicious.

Service people were rude. Food was bad especially naan, chicken appetizer and the lightings were depressing!

Food quality and options in buffet both have reduced drastically in recent times

Avoid. Took 2.5 hours to deliver the starters and food. They were completely unapologetic and arrogant as well

Really good Desi (Indian) food…especially the sizzlers and rotis. Superb/thoughtful service from our server Raymond and the whole staff (who helped quickly in various aspects whenever we asked them for something). Definitely recommend Sakoon.

I’ve just reached the US after a long period in India and a family friend from Kolkata recommended this restaurant for the delicious lunch buffet so of course I had to try it.While some items are definitely toned down for the American taste buds the food is well cooked and delicious - I have eaten it many days in a row and it has yet to disappoint.Solid 7/10 on the global taste scale, but 9/10 for MTV Indian food. All at a fair price ?
