Our waitress was great - very attentive and spoke Spanish. The main problem was the clientele who came in literally shouting inappropriately. I have been in many pubs and nobody has ever behaved in that fashion previously.

Ate here a few weeks ago while family was in town, and was very happy with the experience. Just barely ordered before Happy Hour ended (or was it Super Happy Hour? I don't recall!). While I wasn't really all that hungry, I opted for the fish and chips, because it's my goto for testing this type of place on a first visit. It was HUGE fillet, with crispy breading that was properly fried. I almost couldn't finish it, which is odd for me. Could have used a lot more lemon, as one piece doesn't do much, but that's such a minor issue. The service was great, even though our server was literally on her first shift, and being shadowed by another staff member. All in all it was a great experience.

If I could do a negative star I would. The service was horrible. We did not get greeted when we sat down and the bartender did not once introduces to himself or us. His name is Gilbert. I came to downtown Mountain View because we were told it was a good place to have a dinner. Asking Gilbert for the simplest things was irritating to him. If we requested anything, he respond and just walk away and roll his eyes. I just can't believe this horrible customer service and if he's not happy with his job, I believe he should find another one.

Went on Saturday March 16th to get food and drinks. Love the food. Been before. Sitting outside The service was very bad as I waited for 10 minutes, and finally went inside to ask if we can get service. The guy said sure and I thought he was gonna follow me out to my table of 3 but he did not. Lol. So we left. Was not busy inside at all. Just seems like no one wants to work anymore and do not care.

Eaten here quite a few times.. for me I like everything I ordered. Went yesterday, we sat ourselves & no server ever came out so after 15 minutes we left. The service here has definitely been a problem most times I've gone. Wish they would correct their service issues. It has great food & atmosphere. Will go back & hopefully get served, if not will go to another place who appreciates my business!

Friend and I split the fish and chips and the chile burger. Both were amazing. Perfectly cooked, great flavor.Service was friendly and attentive.Atmosphere felt like I dove into an old pub in Ireland in the 60s. I told my friend it felt like I should be smoking while there (in the best way possible).

I frequent here a lot and it's a great vibe and affordable place for all times especially for downtown. Anyone who works at this establishment is typically very sweet and attentive. On 1/27 around 3pm an older balding gentleman with glasses gave me the worst service I have ever received in downtown Mountain View. I asked for my first drink, and he said "we're doing that today." Then I asked for my second choice and he said, "no, not today." I ended up needing to sit someplace other than the bar and let him know that I intended to move outside. He was clearly upset at the change of plans and acted as though it was a huge a huge inconvenience. The attitude and clear distain for my requests made my visit very uncomfortable. Having worked in the field of customer service for years, I understand when a server is having an off or bad day, however, I was very polite with my requests. He made me feel like everything I requested was a huge inconvenience. This was during a slow period in the day as well. It made me extremely uncomfortable to be met with aggression for standard requests.

Fun location for bar trivia, but definitely lacking on the food and drink side. We have tried several different dishes from this location while there for bar trivia, and would heavily not recommend anything with bacon (it was charred to the point it was inedibly hard). The fried cauliflower was ok, but in a very small portion for the price. Regular fries are good though.

MUST come at 4-5:30PM for the (SHH)Super Happy Hour, some of the food price at (HH)Happy Hour 5:30-6:30PM are the same as ordering off the regular menu although the drinks are cheaper but what is the point in drinking on an empty stomach! Sausage Rolls: pastry is super flaky although the sausage part lack a bit of seasoning but there is this overpowering mustard sauce on the bottom so overall ok. Scotch Eggs: I called this the meat lover delight, the boiled egg is covered with mince meat, roll in breadcrumbs and deep fry. Super delicious! Shepherd Pie: buttery smooth mashed potatoes I can eat that just by itself, the meat filling was a bit on the salty side but goes well with alcohol. I would just order this basic on that mashed potatoes. Steak Sandwich: overcooked steak although it comes with a mountain of fries which kind of makes up for steak, still will skip this next time. Bread Pudding: ok, a bit tippy at the end to remember this... Our server Andrew was phenomenal, when we arrive there it's only few customers but when we leave it was already 90% full, and he was still the same attentive & friendly self so thank you Andrew! It is an Irish pub looking pub with lot of TV but it was clean, no sticky table or un-sanitize bathroom, their bathroom are definitely cleaner then most of the other establishment on Castro Street. Definitely come back next week for SHH

Second time spending New Years Eve here. They celebrate Ireland's New Years at 4pm, which I think is fantastic. Great atmosphere, good pub food, good beer!

Trivia is fun but the food is mid. My last burger was super overstuffed and very dry

After seeing a bon appetit video on Gordon Ramsay's Scotch eggs we decided to order this. We've enjoyed the burgers, fish and chips, pies and curry at St Stephens so this was a new thing to try. The egg was well done and I think it would be better if it was more soft cooked. The sauce could also use some spice, maybe a horseradish version could be offered. All in all we enjoyed hanging out at the bar - the bartenders and servers were friendly and it was a festive atmosphere with the holiday decorations up and the ugly sweater party. Would come back and probably stick to our usually favorites.

3.5 rating? Who makes this stuff up? This is the best Irish Pub in the Bay Area - authentic and nice servers and great bar staff. It is like going to Dublin in Mountain View but no one knows what an Irish bar is anymore so they think if they don't see a leprechaun it is a 3.5 Irish bar...I saw someone review this place 14 times- why do you give a place a 3-star review 14 times? Get a job or a life and here is an idea- if you don't like it 14 times- these guys are reviewing Magner's cider like Stephen's Green makes it. Wtf is up? Go somewhere else and complain about that! LOL- give me a break, this place is legit and people in MV are now a bunch of professional nerds and Yelp complainers so no surprise with the reviews, try it out - you will love this place!

Wings were amazing. Luis and Danica were great! Beer selection was really diverse and great ambience. Will come back!
