Great Brewery and Restaurant. They have a lot of on tap beers and they offer flights.

Food good, prices extremely high. $12 for a pint of beer, and a 5% surcharge on top. I can't afford this place

I really liked the oatmeal stout and I would say the overall experience is great. The fries were more costly but good. The beef burger and chicken burger is good but wishing there was more crunch or toasting the bread or lighter sauce.

Severely understaffed. Took 20min for host to acknowledge our presence at entrance, then told us they couldnt seat us for another 40min because they didn’t have enough servers (plenty of tables - totally fine to be overwhelmed but should probaly put a sign or something out front to let people know not to bother). We went somewhere else.
The calamari was rubbery and bland, the samosas were soft and bland, and worst of all, the schnitzel was bland, tasteless, and the cabbage was old. Avoid at all costs

Clearly a beer place with below average food. We had a corporate event and I almost wanted to go elsewhere as the food was quite disappointing.

One of my favorite places, and I’m at so thrilled that they are no longer closing! Everything from the ambiance, beer, service, to their made-from-scratch food is perfect for a weeknight meal or a gathering with friends. Can’t go wrong with anything from the menu. Thank you, Steins!
Update: Visited on 8/15/25 and, sadly, things are not the same under new management. The menu has changed almost entirely, and the food quality is not up to par with what it used to be. I will miss the OG Steins dearly.

Beer list was pretty good! Huge patio. Food was yummy but not for what they are charging but I guess it's just the area. 13$ for a beer? Service was strange. Busboy was taking things before we were finished. Vibes inside were off but again, the area. Don't think I would rush back anytime soon.

Portions have gotten really small, so it's expensive for what you're actually getting. Server was attentive on checking in, but really poor on following up on requested things (drink refills, food quality and accuracy)

Got here for a dinner on a weekday, two of us could get in without reservation but only inside seating was available. We ordered- One starter (Samosa), two mains (teriyaki bowl, Veggie burger) two pints of beer. Order was delivered pretty fast to the table. The Veggie burger was quite good, my friend said that the teriyaki bowl was good. We both found beer to be very tasty. I found the check to be quite expensive, but it’s been a while since I’ve dined in a beer garden in silicon valley.

I stopped by Steins with a friend for a late drink and some small bites. The starters we ordered were tasty, and the pretzel stood out — fresh and flavorful. That said, it came with mustard and jam, but no butter, which felt like the obvious missing pairing.
The beer menu is excellent, with a wide selection of both local and imported options. The pint I had was fresh, delicious, and served in a spotless glass. My friend tried the light beer flight and was really pleased with the variety and quality.

Love this place. Best beer selection I've found in town, and the food is always great.
