They serve so many ‘cooked’ sushi options. Great option for people with IBS or sensitive stomachs.
The place is a little noisy since there’s a lot of foot traffic from DoorDash/UberEats pick up persons.

Today we ordered sushi from this place. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. After eating, we felt very nauseous, and we suspect that the fish or shrimp may not have been fresh.
For a restaurant that serves raw seafood, this is unacceptable and potentially dangerous for customers’ health. We are very disappointed and will not be ordering from here again. I hope management takes this issue seriously and improves quality control.

Mountain View's Downtown area is so cute and I love that it's blocked off from cars so the center is a walking street. There are tons of restaurants and shops in the area, but if you're craving sushi or Japanese food, you have to 🔖bookmark Sushi Arashi! The prices are very affordable and the portions are generous.
If you're looking for an Instagram worthy dish that's both delicious and worth paying for, get the Omakase Box! It's $55, but worth it. Each chef's choice was well selected and super fresh. This place also has a huge selection of special rolls if that's more your style. The fish portions are big and they don't use too much rice like some other places. There are also Udon and Teriyaki dishes to choose from for those who aren't big on seafood.
🍣
• Omakase Box (highly recommend!)
• Hamachi Kama
• Hot Kiss (Baked Roll)
• Dragon Roll
🚗 Parking can be a little tough in the area depending what time you go, so plan ahead
🐾 Dog-friendly patio!

One of the most elite and unmatched sushi joints I’ve ever been to (and I’ve been to a lot)
Never in my life has I gone to a sushi place, whose food tasted SO good, and who’s prices were FAIR AS HELL, that I dropped eating Safeway sushi all together
To think, a single trip to this place, and their crab rolls in particular, were so good, that I lost all love for Safeway sushi
It’s unthinkable
And yet it happened
Love visiting my mom and taking her here
Is our favorite joint to catch up and reunite

My family and I had lunch at Sushi Arashi, and it was fresh, delicious and abundant. My husband had two rolls, which arrived promptly and were tasty. My son and I had chirashi (pictured), which came with miso soup and salad. The portions were so big that we couldn't finish everything and had leftovers for dinner.

We love this place and frequent it at least twice a month. The fish is fresh and the service is quick. The prices are also unbeatable. Sake Maki is only $4.50 and they LOAD it with salmon. The Arashi roll is another one of our favorites.

Sushi is ok-ish.
Service is terrible with people who should never work in customer facing roles. So the atmosphere is like in a dead dish aquarium

Tasty and more affordable than most places. It’s a good amount of food too!
I also like that they do combo deals. The Lincoln roll was really tasty too.

This place has a good variety to choose from. I ordered rainbow and it had a strange aftertaste, which is probably from the crab mixture inside the roll. The rolls that my friend has ordered were fine and didn’t have that aftertaste. The fish was fresh, the food was ready pretty fast. Service is long, the waiter didn’t check on us after he brought the food for a while. Overall, it’s worth trying but service should be improved.

Restaurantji Recommends
Not a good experience. You’re forced to tip a certain amount (atleast 18%). If you tip anything below that, the waiter would create a scene.

We tried this restaurant the first time . I ordered two sushis, Caterpillar and California roll. The former was a big disappointment because there was too little unagi in the rolls. Compared with any sushi restaurants I’ve been too, I gave it a maximum of 3/5. If they are so skimpy on the main ingredient (unagi), I am afraid other sushis will suffer for the same treatment,
My husband got a bento box. The salmon was too sweet and not tender. This restaurant is on Castro street, downtown Mountain View. I wouldn’t recommend it based on the quality and taste even though they gave free salad and miso soup ( the soup 3/5).
So everything is 3/5. Note to the restaurant: I am willing to pay more for quality not quantity. Service is 5/5

We were excited to come here during the Mountain View arts festival - ordered 4 different lunch specials.
However, the salad was by far the best part of the meal. It's Sunday lunchtime, so perhaps they weren't on their game, but the fish tasted funky (as a frequent sushi eater and lover of sushi).
For an example of the low-quality sushi, see the attached photo with weirdly butchered pieces of lemon rind sprinkled on it, mashed avocado, and odd shape...
When we asked if they had full-sodium soy sauce -- I had to go inside to ask because the waiter was not nearby for a while -- they told me they only had packets (the to go kind). Weird, but fine. Not 2 minutes later, another water brings out a container of full-sodium sauce while seating another table.
It wasn't *terrible* but it's probably in the bottom 10% of Bay Area sushi restaurants in my opinion.

A go-to for to-go sushi. The food delicious, well-portioned, and beautifully presented. Consistently impressive.
We got a party set and it was really good 👍🏻
