Baldacci Family Vineyards

On September 19,2015 I visited this winery because their website clearly stated “walk-ins welcome.” When we arrived, the property was completely empty, yet the staff member told us it was appointment only. Even after we paid for a single glass, she insisted on taking our information instead of simply offering good hospitality. The service felt unwelcoming and disappointing, especially considering how quiet the place was.

That being said, the setting by Chimney Rock can accommodate guests beautifully, and when fully staffed this winery has the potential to offer an amazing experience. Unfortunately, that was not the case during our visit.

Spectacular Vineyard, beautifully crafted wines and a wonderful setting to enjoy the tasting. Our host, Phoebe, was gracious and delightful making our tasting an amazing experience!

We visited recently and unfortunately, the experience wasn't what we'd hoped for. The wines, while plentiful, were notably young and sharp, lacking the depth and complexity one would expect from a winery. Frankly, the complimentary cheese plate was the highlight of the tasting.

The atmosphere felt quite sterile, more like a clinical tasting room than a warm, inviting winery. The host was also a bit overbearing, making it difficult to relax and enjoy the tasting. There was a lack of awareness of personal space and social cues, which made the experience feel more awkward than welcoming.

Overall, it was a disappointing visit and not one we would recommend. There are many other wineries in the area that offer a better experience, from both a wine and hospitality perspective.

I find myself consistently returning to Baldacci’s lovely estate because the wines are harmonious and the tasting experiences are exceptional.

I have been helped by Phobe and Samantha, who both set the bar high for the hospitality industry. Their knowledge of wine is comprehensive, and their kindness, warmth, and engagement truly put them in a class of their own.

Phoebe and Samantha go above and beyond to create a personalized, memorable experience and I always look forward to returning!

Baldacci was amazing. John our host was a wonderful guide through their selection of wines, in particular amazing Cabernets. The tasting room was like hanging out at his living room. We can’t wait for our shipment!

Beautiful winery and tasting room. The staff member who helped us with our tasting was extremely nice and knowledgeable and helped us have a great experience. And the Wine! The best we had in Napa. We will be back!
