We had the best dinner here! The host, bartender, and our server, John, were so kind and attentive. They gave us thoughtful wine recommendations and the food was delicious! Can't wait to come back.

We had a sizable birthday party celebration at Compline. Food was pretty good, and a nice wine selection to go along with the dishes. The duck fat fries were very addictive!

The Compline makes the best burger I’ve ever had, and their duck fat fries are divine. Truly, an exceptional dining experience. We split the burger and the spaghetti carbonara and a few glasses of wine and they were all excellent, as was our waiter Ivan, who was professional, knowledgeable and gracious. We even bought some beautiful bottles of wine (wine we had enjoyed so much with our meal), and they offered them at 50% discount! I really can’t recommend Compline enough, it knocked our socks off.P.S. We also ordered the Escarole salad with celery seed dressing and for me it was possibly the tastiest salad of all time. Highly recommend!!

We really enjoyed our relaxing lunch at Compline. The food and service were very good and we plan to return when we visit Napa again. The Chestnut Soup was amazing!

Great all around. Interesting wine list highlighting more than just the top hits, delicious food that the whole party enjoyed and kind and attentive service.

Fabulously hosted, served, wined, and fed by one the most approachable, professional culinary teams in the region. Flawless and flavorful from wine tasting through to a post-meal cheese course.

Food was good, service was less than stellar. Slow plus non-attention especially regarding beverages. One of our party ordered a glass of wine that never appeared, another ordered a beer that took forever to receive and a few of us weren't offered a new order after completing our first drink - list sales opportunity.

We had a lovely experience at Compline. My fiancé got the carbonara and I ended up getting the rockfish. We also got the duck fat fries, which were delicious! The service was efficient and genuine. I took off one star for my original entree order of ravioli was sadly out of stock. I would definitely visit again.

Downtown location very convenient to lively street activities. Beautiful setting. Regrettably, my porchetta, while carefully prepared, was dry on the inside and a bit too rich (fatty) on the outside. My wife's sole was underwhelming. Not bad to send back to the kitchen, but not remarkable enough to recommend. They were very thoughtful and gracious in honoring us with a glass of champagne for our wedding anniversary.

Thanks for making our Valentine's so special. John, we appreciate you taking such good care of us and for the wonderful wine suggestions. We especially enjoyed the deviled eggs and sunchoke ravioli.

We had the 24 hours in Mexico City dinner experience. This was by far the most expensive dinner I ever had in the Valley. The food was tasty but definitely not worth what we paid. I understand gourmet experiences but the only thing gourmet about this was the amount of food we got, there were many “courses” served but it was literally a bite of each thing on the menu. We were very disappointed and regretted our decision to attend this experience!

Aloha, when visiting Napa - Compline is a must for a fun lunch (great burgers) or an elegant dinner. This trip we did the pre-fixe with guest chef Diego from Mexico. Chef Diego is well known as lead and R&D chef of 10 years at Pujo. Chef Diego is also a great grand nephew of Freida Kahlo. So cool to meet this celebrity chef and better to have tasted his fabulous food. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. I love the use of lime and can still remember the taste of it a day later. All so yummy you could drink the base like soup. From crunchy to crispy to raw to rare. Everything was a hit in my book. From the pate on churros, lime ceviche sashimi then beef tongue and beef cheeks in savory sauce complimented with pickled fresh veggies. And dessert to boot. 24 hours of Mexico was amazing. Mahalo Ryan for getting us in!

We attended a special event in collaboration with Chef Diego Isunza Kahlo from Mexico City. It was an 8 course extravaganza with wine pairings. Opportunities like this are one reason why we love living in Napa. We basically got to experience 24 hours of Mexico City cuisine and only had to travel 10 minutes away from our home. Matt and Ryan always nail the wine pairings, and I was able to purchase a bottle of the white burgundy that was paired with one of the courses. The items on the regular menu for lunch and dinner always have that great Napa vibe. They partner with local farmers, ranchers, and purveyors. Service is friendly, and they take advantage of their outdoor patio for seating when the weather permits. Highly recommend!

It would have been a perfect dining experience if the noise level hadn't been so high. I don't understand why restaurants think that that is enjoyable for anyone. Too many hard surfaces. So people talk louder to be able to be heard and it gets louder and louder and louder.
