One of our favorite spots. La Cheve has a great atmosphere, the breakfast was excellent, and we enjoyed being able to bring our dog to the outside area. Definitely a go-to for us whenever we’re in Napa!
Great food, good cocktails but the service was not the greatest. There was one guy who I flagged down twice and engaged with our table of 7, he had stories and a great attitude which saved this restaurant from getting a single star for service; which to be honest service was non-existent. Never once was our table checked up on, in more than a hour not once! Trying to get a server's attention is like trying to flag down a taxi in the city, chaotic and putting in way too much...
YES, the food is as good as everyone says. Definitely worth the wait, but that wait might be a while. We got there around 11 and were told it was a 1.5 hour wait to sit. I was very happy to learn that they had a to-go order area with seating so we opted for that. You can order drinks and pastries online, but to order actual food you need to stand in the to-go line.
The line went fast and we got our food within 15 minutes. Best chilaquiles ever. Highly recommend...
