There are memories that resound in your memory when you were a kid to your adulthood. Eating tacos with my dad at La Especial in Tijuana after a haircut at the top of the stairs of the restaurant is one of them for me. These are unique tacos that I have never ever found elsewhere. My mother-in-law grew up eating these tacos when she was a child in the 50s. When she had her family, they went down to TJ sometimes specifically for these tacos from 100 miles away. My wife was so happy to find these childhood favorites on this side of the border.
