Everytime I go back home to visit San Diego, I try to make it out to Lola's to enjoy some Filipino food. The good here never disappoints, as they offer many dishes and options. Their portions are very generous, as you can feed at least two or more people per dish.

In my opinion food was oily. Feels like the food we got was like left overs and not hot. Customer service is not that great, rude when we ask for help. I don't recommend going to this place other than Titas kitchenette down the street.
Me and my buddy were at this restaurant last month. All comments regarding the new owner are true. The owner need to learn more about customer service. Business with bad ownership doesn't last.

Do not come to this place to celebrate any occasions, or else the manager/waiter will pick a fight with customers for commenting about a particular food being too greasy. The food is below average, there’s other better Filipino restaurants in the area. The manager/waiter lack customer service and with a bad attitude. The owner thinks wearing and flashing a Dr. name tag while working in her restaurant thinks highly of herself. Talk about being Arrogant and conceited. Both of them don’t have no business running this type of business that deals with customer service. Don’t waste your time and hard earned money at Lola’s not so Happy Bistro, you’ll be disappointed.

My friend and I were craving sisig and went for dinner it was pretty busy and it took a while for the food but it was good, everything was going great until we heard a commotion near us one of the customers said the food is kind of greasy to his friends or family, not loud because we didn’t hear it but one of the workers got really offended and started picking a fight yelling at the customer and saying it’s not greasy and said something to the effect of screw your heart attack or something it sounded like the worker wanted the customer to die we got scared and wrapped up and paid our bill and left while we were exiting the manager tried fighting with the same customer again, I’ll go somewhere else or make my food at home it was like Gordon Ramseys kitchen nightmares I was looking for cameras but didn’t see any not sure if this happens here a lot but for my first time I won’t come back.

This place is a dump. My friend celebrated her birthday in this place we had a great time the first hour until the manager who was drinking picked a fight with one of my friends for a comment about the greasy food. DON’T GO HERE!!!!!!

Please do not go to this place terrible customer service.On a date and first time there when walking in there was no greeting. My date had to go ask if we could sit down. Owner Aguinaldo made it very clear to him that it wasn't a bar but a restaurant and we had to order food and drinks. We came to support my friends band. After sitting there and nobody coming to serve us. Owner Agunaldo came up and asked if we were ordering or not. not how can I help you. We walked out and left. Terrible customer service. Dont hire a dancing band if your expectation is for people to come eat at your restaurant.

first off, i saw many roach legs hanging out all around the place, it smelled like dirty cheese as soon as i walked in, and i found a hairy maggot in my food encrusted in the sauces. i took a bite and immediately gagged as i felt insanely repulsed by the foul tastes and odors it left in my mouth. i will NEVER EVER return to such a place. i left with my stomach bubbling and had to order a whole new pack of underwear as i had to pull over and shit immensely through my pants. I have never experienced such disrespect in my entire life. They were rude--might as well spit in my face with the looks they were giving me. If you have the option to go anywhere else GO THERE. Might as well eat from the back of the 99 cents store produce section. Jeez.

I'm not sure what was worse, the food (if you can call it that) or the attitude. I don't think I've ever had a worse dining experience. Actually, I know I know I haven't. Even their roaches were disappointed. Nasty food, nasty people. I hope I've saved your stomach on this one.
Bad service. Waitresses are not friendly, they're very sarcastic. We are very very disappointed and I don't recommend this place. Go to Las Islas, they have better service.

Took them more than an hour to serve tosilog (tosino, sinangag and itlog) that should only take less than 10 minutes to cook. And all of them - the cook, waitress and cashier, are confused on what's going on., NOT RECOMMENDED.
