Just getting here was an adventure in it's own, the wait wasn't even bad. The wife is happy so that's a win. Food...AMAZING!
Laura, the host, said they were closed. Their information online shows they close at 3PM, yet they close early. So sad
I was told menudo here was bomb… but NOT REALLY. They took around 25 mins to serve us 2 menudos. I expected more honestly

Another first for me…. Hubby has been here before.
He went for the Menudo (with pata of course) and I was undecided. I ordered the pozole chicken pozole (green) which was also delicious. Get there early on the weekend because it gets super busy, although the wait wasn’t terrible. Small parking lot behind the building and limited street parking.

This place is awesome, down home Mexican food. My favorite in San Diego. Downside is that the tacos are almost meatless, tasty but not recommended. Dring peak hours you can hardly hear to have a conversation because it is so loud. Excellent food and excellent service and opens at 8:00am.
My go to spot for menudo when in San Diego! Great service, price, taste ! Highly recommend especially the little pork ribs! 😍😍😍😍

This place is amazing , Been going here for years. However I question myself how genuine is their customer appreciation. Early stage the year around January I ordered a large red menudo with only meat and Granito to go, but when I got home it was not what I asked. To top it off the cilantro wasn’t in its best condition, It was black. I called and let the women who answered know and she told me ok come back today for a refund or whenever you do let us know so we can give you what you ordered. Today I went and it’s been a good 4 months since , but I asked the owner at the register if by any chance my receipt not was there and he sarcastically answered oh no not since January and brushed it off like if it’s some kind of joke. I mentioned the vegetable quality and he didn’t even mind it like ok was his answer. No apologies nothing, as business owner I would have expected a different response. It doesn’t matter how long it was you give the customer the benefit of doubt this place is expensive as it is. What $15 for them ? This is very disappointing, however I’m not gonna give the entires rating a 1. But the derive of him forsure if I could give him a 0 I would.

The menudo is delicious!! That is their specialty. Tacos de birria are ok, they are served with very little meat and the tortilla is soggy. My husband asked for a quesabirrria and it ended up being a quesadilla with little meat.

The pozole was good and so was the horchata. The horchata was not grainy at all. I’d say it was a bit overpriced for what it is, a little over $20 for the pozole, and it took quite a while for the food to come out.

I Definitely Came Here For Some Bomb Menudo And Got Average Bowl Of Menudo. Oh Yeah Be Careful Because They Ask You Do You Want Everything? Yeah Everything Means They Add Pig's Feet& Charge You Extra For It. Yup Definitely Average Service Nothing Special & No Smile's Or Anything Special. Yeah Might Be Back If My Regular Spot Is Closed.
