Visited during the week @ 5pm. Few patron, nice open areas, clean and clear atmosphere. Famy friendly, 2-3 shops besides restaurants.

I recently checked out Market on 8th and was very happy I did. There’s 12 different restaurants to enjoy along with many different vendors offering brews all the way to plants. They have a little bit of everything to offer here. My friends and I ordered samples from as many places as we could and everything was great. I also enjoyed the DJ they had playing great tunes. I’d highly recommend checking this place out!

It is a great concept. Perfect for a group of people who have different food preferences. The pastor tacos were good but not special. I am giving 5 stars to the concept of putting so many decent restaurants and a bar under one roof.

Definitely not worth a $20 plate (+ tip)! I love Indonesian food but golly I didn’t realize they have this bad. I don’t know how these people seem to think charging so much for this kind of fairly regular simple dish, and barely edible as this one, is good business. Never again. What a waste…

Market on 8th. Tried Smitty's BBQ. My husband really liked the catfish. Will have to go again and try the bbq.

Favorite new food hall in SD. The space is really well done and the vendor perfectly curated. Arrived for an early dinner (5p) and did not encounter any issue with finding a table or parking nearby.Started with drinks from Novo, then tried Donburi and Serbesa. Portions were large and appropriately priced. Will 100% be coming back. The street parking across next to the bank doesn’t have a time limit, so would recommend there if there are spots.

I went there on Monday July 18th for our first time to try Novo Brazil brewery but they were closed according to some of the market workers they said the bartender was sick. So I had to stick with topo Chico and try pork adobo with some garlic shrimp over sticky rice platter.

Went to this place to try the ahi style poke since the pictures looked good, but when i got my food the fish didnt look as advertised. There was only a little sauce and the bowl was a bit small, plus there wasnt a huge variety of toppings just the basics that you usually see in a poke place. For $20, the create your own bowl was small and though i ordered a regular, there wasnt much fish. There was also what seemed like the minimal amount of toppings in my bowl. The wait wasn't too bad, i ordered takeout so it was ready when i got there and the staff was friendly. Just can't say that the price was worth the amount of food i received, plus the quality wasn't as good as id hoped for.

Love this poke place! Tried the shave ice for the first time last week. So good!!! Very fresh because they keep it small.

Food is TINY for the money! Not worth it! The tiniest portion of fish I have ever seen! $16 for poke nachos and they give you 1 tablespoon of fish! So not worth it!

After circling around Market on 8th, I liked what my friends chose, so I went with Pacific Poke. I also am trying to eat healthier! I ordered a large with garlic ahi, spicy ahi and spicy salmon, seaweed salad, ginger, furikake flakes and spicy sesame soy sauce, all over brown rice. Everything was delicious! Friendly conversation and prices are comparable, or a few dollars higher, but if it helps a small local business, I'm all for it! I will definitely be back some time in the future! Mahalo Pacific Poke!

I had takeaway pizza. It was interesting. Red sauce tasted too sweet for me and the crust was burnt black on the bottom on one slice. The other slice was soggy and floppy. I did not like the spicy salami flavor. Tasted more like sweeten tomatoes. What made it edible was the complimentary dipping sauce.

Market on 8th street in national city on 8th ave. I love this little market, it’s very similar to liberty station in Point Loma. They offer a vast variety of eateries from ramen to soul food to pizza to coffee, just to name a few…. Even a brewery. So many delicious food options for all tastes. Kid and pet friendly. Awesome environment, open area extremely roomy with alot of Inside seating is available. Plenty of street parking
