I have been coming here for the last 9 months and this place is truly a old school dive bar gem. The bartenders are awesome and recently met the owners who are down to earth. The bartenders are cool and it's a great place to chill during the week or dance at night. Not for someone who wants everything new and flashy. Reminds me of those bars back home on the east coast that are awesome neighborhood bars that you feel welcomed.

Horrible place to go to! Mostly gang affiliated so there is always fights. The bartenders are scammers!!!! They take advantage of anyone who had to much to drink tipping themselves... I personally saw this!! They reuse alcohol bottles and put cheaper liquor in the "high end" bottles. Bathrooms are always excessively dirty pr put of order! Bad place all the way around!

It's ok. I am new in town. I just went there to meet some friends but I'm sure there are much better places than this here in Chula Vista. A downside of this place is that they don't even have appetizers. They sell some rotten taste chips. I didn't eat dinner thinking in eating here some appetizers.

I had a good time music was great, friendly social people, I was there around 945pm was pretty dead but I got some drinks and no waitI left and came back because my friends were still there having a good time after 1am and it was pretty fun in there.

We had to leave because my friend was not allowed in because he had tattoos. He is darker skin than me and I have tattoos and was let in. We are in 2019 not 1950. Won't be back.

I didn't care for the strainer that they pour the left over drinks, ice, straws exc. Being over the sanitizer sink. So basically they pour everyone's germs back into the clean water that they are washing and sanitizing the glasses in.. Big no no and very disgusting!

Absolutely love coming here! This was one of the bars I went to on my 21st birthday and i am so glad I went! I always have a great time with the juke box or karaoke or even chatting with the bartender, Tiffany. They have very affordable prices and great drinks. Always meet interesting and fun people here as well. Love that I can play pool and it's a great way to meet more people.

No matter how crusty this place is lol I will always return, excellent environment, cocktails on point thanks to the staff! I usually go after bar hopping around there in third ave where this is located, and stay till they close. That's the way to go. The only part that sucks is that it's starting to get packed so there's a long line outside the door. But it gets so packed so it's understandable...

This is a great local bar in the heart of Down Town Chula Vista. They stay open late which is always nice when you have a baby sitter for the night. Bartenders Nacho and Candy are the best. We had a large group with large requests and they both made it happen. They have Live DJ's and sometimes bands right next to a very spacious dance floor. Definitely my favorite local bar in Chula Vista.

The Silver Dollar Bar has been a staple in downtown Chula Vista for years. With the revival of downtown CV it's a must visit on 3rd Ave bar/brewery crawl! With DJ playing old school grooves and a good mix of other music it brings you back to your youth. Great beer selection and drinks are on point. This bar is always a good time!!
