The food was delicious and fresh. The service was good the waitress had her hands full she was the only one there serving everybody and attending the cash register. There was no AC the place was extremely hot but overall the food made up for everything. The pupusas were outstanding. I would highly recommend this place

I ordered a pupusa here today and it was so delicious. I want to return and eat here. However, with all due respect, I wish the restaurant did not use such a harsh smelling cleaner, the smell of cleaner was so overpowering. The pupusas are made to order and I would love to be able to sit in the restaurant. But my husband and I just can’t with the smell.
The Hawaiin restaurant next door on the other hand was the opposite it had no aroma of a cleaner but still smelled clean and fresh but the food was below average.

Pupusas Reveultas were delicious!!! Crispy and filled. They don’t skimp on filling it with cheese bean and chorizo. The cortido and salsa were great too! I recently moved here from New York and desperately missed Salvadoran Deli’s. Super delicious thank you🫶

Authentic and delicious. I was in town on vacation and went out of my way to get my papusa fix. This place did not disappoint. I might have to make a return trip to San Diego just to come here.

I saw all the high reviews and compared to others in the area.

Very kind staff. Amazing flavor horchata. They have both the mexican and salvadoranian flavor and both are good.

I was hoping to like this place as it would of been closer to where I live.

Their pupusas had no flavor. I tasted the cheese at first and after that there was nothing. It should taste good on its own as it does at my favorite pupuseria in LA.

The Yukon also had no flavor so it wasn't just the pupusas which I had a few different types to taste.

Wish I could of at least enjoyed enough to feel it was worth the money but it was not.

Delicious! I only go for the pupusas but the other food also looks really good.
I used to live in Guatemala so I was craving pupusas and these taste the same as they did when I lived in Central America.

They are very welcoming when you walk in. Kind and authentic.
The restaurant is decorated with everything related to El Salvador which I love.
The place is clean and the food comes with a lot! You definitely are getting what you pay for.
So so so good and I highly recommend!

Giving two stars because the price for pupusas through online ordering are $8 each but in person they are $4.50! When asked they said for the service they use but online also charges a $6 service fee…don’t order online!

I have been here a few times and and I thought I reviewed it but I guess I didn't.
I popped in for a quick bite but I didn't have much time so I placed the order and went to go pick up. The online ordering process was so easy!

I walked in and the woman was so welcoming and told me my order would be right out. Her hospitality combines with the beautiful wall art, decorations and their Salvadorian pride flag gave such an inviting and warm atmosphere.

I ordered a couple Pupusa Revulta that had chicharon, beans and cheese in side and it was such a good combination! The Pupusa was cooked perfectly, the chicharon was so tender and flavorful and there was just the right amount of beans and cheese inside! Paired with the sides of salsa and pickled cabbage made for such a good meal!

Overall Silvia Pupuseria is a gem! I highly recommend it and can't wait to come back!

I was visiting San Diego from South East Asia and I wanted to try Pupusas as we can't get them back home. This place wow-ed me right from the start. The food was phenomenal and the staff were so kind and friendly. It looked like a lot of customers were regulars and I can definitely see why. I would be too if I lived in SD! Highly recommend this place. Thank you for a great meal! The Pupusas and plantains were out of this world. Huge portion sizes too.
