“This is my favorite restaurant in Nevada City. The food is really excellent, the atmosphere, feels like a special occasion, every time, and the staff and owner are the *best part*. We feel very nurtured, and taken care of when we go to this café. Recommending everything five stars. The food is really excellent!Vegetarian options: I get the beyond burger, blue burger that has sautéed onions, blue cheese, brioche bun, and comes with either an amazing salad or fries. It taste like a real burger 100% and is amazing. That salads are really really excellent as well.“

“The food, service and ambiance was excellent. My wife and I came for breakfast, despite our trepidations due to Yelp reviews over the past year or so. I had a veggie omelette with country potatoes with sourdough toast. I have similar breakfasts at numerous restaurants, and feel the NC Cafe is in the top 1%. The service was very attentive and friendly, and heard other encounters with nearby people. The cook was familiar to me from other visits over the years and I paused to compliment his cooking as I was on my way to the clean and accessible restroom. I will finish by saying that I look forward to coming back during my next visit to Nevada City. Five Stars!“
