This is always a good choice. The menu is innovative and the food is excellent. I recommend it most highly.

What a great experience with my daughter. From beginning to end, it was fantastic. Yo did a great job as our waiter, but ETAN and INDIGO were the stars. They supported the waiter's efforts so well. They were brilliant. It was another excellent meal at Friar Tuck's.

What a great experience this was. The service was superb, but the food was magnificent. It is a great menu with a vast array of items as well as nightly specials. We had such a great time and will return again soon.

Friar tucks used to be our favorite place. Although service was excellent, and food was tasty, the menu has changed too much, to where we aren't happy with options. They got rid of or favorite appetizer, Salmon carpacio, and dinner, tempura prawns. They do have good steaks on the menu, but no seafood pasta, or any pasta. The menu is very limited in our opinion. We loved ordering and eating in the bar for the music previously, best around. Now we struggle finding anyone we like. Cello joe plays there a lot, he was playing when we were eating in the dining room on a Friday night. He needs to go. I was so distracted by his horrible sound, I couldn't enjoy dinner. Just awful. Sorry to say, we aren't regulars anymore. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

It was a birthday celebration and this was the perfect spot. The food is very upscale and it is a great ambiance. Even the owner visited our table to make sure we were 100% satisfied. What a great experience. We will return soon.

Great food but price was on the higher side. Drinks were good and entertainment was great !

It was my anniversary. They treated us so great! The special was Lazagna. Very good! I am not sure what was going on in the bar music wise, but it sounded like bad keroke. We got quite a giggle about it. Was glad when they went on a break. The pumpkin martini was really good!

Had the salmon, excellent, and the others had the veggie lasagne, very good. The live music in the bar area gave a good vibe and wasn't too loud. Staff was pleasant and attentive. Great drinks too!

Friar Tuck's is a gem. It's that special place you go to get that experience you don't get anywhere else. The entertainment is top notch. The staff is kind and welcoming. The food and drinks are exceptional. If you want to be part of something special, look no further.

We had such a wonderful dinner and time at Friar Tucks last night. The music was amazing. The food was so fresh and wonderful and of course we enjoyed the wine. Thank you so much for making the changes that you have. They are all so positive.

My mother and Aunt would always spend hours here many years ago. My Aunt has since passed away so I went there to have a glass of champagne in her honor. The owners are just wonderful people, had a really nice talk with them and made me feel at home. Best place in Nevada City as far as I'm concerned and family has been here since 77. I'm coming back soon and will bring my Mom. God bless this place.

To start off I rarely leave reviews if I go somewhere and am unhappy I usually just don’t go back being a small business owner myself I know how negative reviews can affect a business that being said… I dined here over the weekend with my husband for a special occasion we were so looking forward to it and unfortunately left very disappointed to begin with we waited and waited, were there for 45 minutes and were told they were out of the appetizer we ordered ok that’s a bummer but whatever then waited another 40 minutes or so for the main dishes one was very poorly put together and the other was COLD had to send it back and wait another 15 minutes or so to eat all in all very dissatisfied the food itself was not that good for the price you pay here I’m sure anyone would expect better, the worst part was going home and being up all night with a stomach ache from the food we won’t ever go back it feels like this place has devolved into a tourist trap there are many good restaurants in the area I recommend trying elsewhere.
