Absolutely fantastic hidden gem, off the beaten path in historic Nevada City! The owner and her staff are absolutely charming. Her food was divine! We each got the California burger and that garlic aoli was AMAZING! Lovely patio seating area. There is a water bowl for your furry friend, too.
Food was fair. Service poor. Looked short staffed. Server told us about 20 minutes to be seated. We asked a couple if they would move a seat down at the counter and sat down. Seemed like we were then ignored. Got up to get our menus and waited another 10 minutes for water. Still no communication from server to let us know we were seen even though she gave us water. Finally got our order placed and waited about 25 more minutes for 1 breakfast. When the cooks were caught up one...
This place was very nice on a warm day, the shade was great. It is also dog friendly. The food was good when we finally got it, 30min after we ordered. My husband pretty much was the waiter, got our menus and waters and took the order. I noticed the other workers didn’t seem to know what to do with a bottle of champagne, just pretty much gave it to the people that ordered it. I’m not sure what this restaurants deal is but the food was good 🤷♀️
