Lunch today was DJ's Spicy Chicken Salad for me and the day's special burger with garlic parmesan fries for my spouse. Lunch was good and so was the service. I got a side salad with my sandwich. I'm always surprised by how good the side salads are. I could only eat half of the sandwich, but my husband devoured his entire meal and had a Belching Beaver IPA with it. I recommend this spot, especially if you're looking for interesting beer and tasty food. They have covered outdoor seating, but we opted to sit inside today.

It's the atmosphere and service that makes this place top notch! Definitely on my list of must visits when in the area! Truly a hidden gem.The original home of the $20 burger!!!!Can be a hit or miss but definitely worth a retry.

Went for lunch on a Wednesday after hearing they make the best burgers. Ordered the beer glazed burger without a bun over their caesar salad and it did not disappoint! The burger was a perfect medium rare and the salad excellently dressed. Definitely want to go back again.

Had a party of 9 plus a dog with a 10 min notice and we were sat immediately by our awesome server and the owner Shawn. We sat outside in their lovely patio that was covered and heated, super cozy!!! Shawn made sure to check in on us just the right amount of times so we were very happy and taken care of. The food was AMAZING!!! Had the Hill chicken sandwich and filled me up and was just enough to eat. Even though we came from Sac we will make sure to be back ASAP!!

An amazing hamburger cooked perfecto. I couldn't even eat it all. The garlic parmesano french fríes were perfecto and delicious. Beer was great and Shawn was like an old friend that you haven't seen in years bit still jive with. Check out that vintage map of nevada county on the wall. Rad. Thanks !
Best burger in town is made here, by Richard! Wait staff is limited which makes for poor service. Atmosphere (when we were there) is dismal.

Kind of tired ambiance, furniture, fixtures. Staff did not greet with a smile, just said sit where you want, after 5 minutes came by to ask what we wanted, still no hello or warm greeting. Food was OK, chicken in both the chicken tacos and grilled chicken sandwich tasted like pre-prepared chicken chunks, bland flavoring. Grilled sourdough for sandwich was toasted, not grilled. Yam fires were soft, limp and tasteless. Despite web-site clearly saying every Wednesday after 5:30 is "$5 pint night", charged full price for beers and server and manager said the $5 pint night is only select Wed nights, and we need to check Instagram, not their website. We will not be back.
