Our new go to stop on the way to Tahoe. Everything was outstanding: food, atmosphere, staff. We had the chicken tenders, veggie burger with Cajun fries, and tri tip plate. Best chicken tenders I’ve ever had. Husband raved about the BBQ sauce.👌 Very dog and kid friendly outdoor space!

Everything that could be wrong was . I'm a local and had high hopes coming here on a recommendation. Most of the staff appears lost and/or loaded . Total lack of any training is evident. Waited forever for food and my wife was done with her dinner before my salad arrived . Two thin cucumber and radish slices and wilted lettuce . Every single food item was lukewarm or cool . $26 brisket plate had 1 slice of brisket that was 55% fat . I estimate about a 6 oz serving . The Mac and cheese was plain and bland . To be fair the Server was trying hard . I don't leave unfair reviews , in this case I am being kind ....

My pizza was totally burnt on the bottom had to send back. It took a long time for our food to get there. Also when we got there ,we could see Anyone that could help us. Finally I went into kitchen to ask & then someone came to seat us. There was more .....

I can't say enough about how much we enjoy 5 Mile House. I have eaten there several times and love it. I wish more people knew about it; it's so unique. The meat which is smoked (they have a fantastic state-of-the-art smoker), is delicious from the brisket to their to-die-for burgers. The atmosphere is lovely and weekends have entertainment.

Friendly staff, live music, great atmosphere... The food is a strong 3.5.. some salt, flavor and trimming some of the fat off the BBQ would definitely bring it up to a 4.. We're definitely going to try it again. Worth trying!
