My wife and I came down for the weekend from Oklahoma. I had the brisket hash with corn tortillas, she had the monte cristo. Service was great, food was just as good. Can’t really say anything bad about the place. Everything was delicious.

Great welcoming place for breakfast and lunch. Owner and people are the best, food is reliably good and atmosphere is great to visit. I go every time I visit family in Nevada City.

The food is still super delicious and the prices are very reasonable! The service changed to traditional restaurant service which is nice but the service seems to have gone downhill. We had to ask for our drinks after our food came out first and nobody came back to check on us or ask if we needed anything. After sitting for a bit waiting for the check we had to go to the front to ask for it. Probably won’t be back for awhile or will go with takeout instead.
The food is delicious and the staff is really nice and friendly! I love that they have decks of playing cards at every table. It’s a little confusing how the ordering process is setup, you order at the counter, pick a table and they bring you your food. Nobody checks in with you after the food is brought and it’s not clear if you should bus your own table or not but the food and service is great and that’s what matters.
