Nice. In the forest and a good set up.
A big family wedding was held at the Wheelhouse, and it was a very well planned and very professionally done. The service of the Event Center personnel was efficient and courteous at every request. I would put the Wheelhouse Event Center high on my list of places to hold any type of gathering or celebration.
Food was good. If you order a side it can feed 3 people. The burger was good. Was never asked how I wanted it cooked and it was a bit pink. It was very small compared to the side of fries I got. Like palm of my hand small.
Great entertainment, beer selection -- peanut butter stout on tap. Who does that? French fries are top notch. Outdoor venue can't be beat.
Disliked:Pulled pork sandwich on a stale baguette.Really Disliked:Beer poured into wrong type of glass, cooks texting and cooking without gloves or mask, sandwich served on stale bread, full bag of tots and fries sit out in plastic bags next to hot fryer, and then my beer put into a to go coffee cup and encouraged to “take it to go”. My mind was totally blown.
Great food and local brews. My favorite place for a post MTB ride on the local trails. Bike racks on the back patio area to keep them safe.
This place is a must stop if your traveling Hwy 20, the burgers and fries are incredible. My wife and I past by on our way from North shore Tahoe to the Marysville area to pick up our new black lab puppy and decided to stop on our way back. I'm really glad we did! Service was awesome! Super nice people,... and dog friendly. I highly suggest stopping in for a bite to eat!
We happened upon this place by accident and were pleased we did! What a great spot!
Great food, 30 taps of great beer variety. Super nice staff!Just a heads up if you come here expecting it to be what the “5 Mile House” or “Roadhouse” that came before the was just know its not. Don’t be mad that you came to a counter service restaurant and they aren’t doing table service.
Good food and fantastic outdoor dining. Huge selection of delicious, local beers and ciders. Skeleton crew at this time because anti-vaxxers are still making as all suffer COVID compliance measures, but still a really nice place to be. I got the bánh mì burger and a house salad along with a Three Forks lager to wash it down. Outstanding!

I like the atmosphere and especially the Bocce court. The food is even good. The salads are great and I love the bun for the burgers. I was there yesterday and ordered the bean burger. It was ice cold and the burger was never put on the grill. It was taken out of the refrigerator and put on the bun, dressed and sent out. This is not the first time the staff didn't cook the food. The first time we were there my husband's beef burger was mostly raw even though it had been on the grill. Someone needs to train the kitchen staff to do completed work.
Service was quick and gracious salad was wonderful and prices very reasonable. Beautiful outside most people masked
So far, they're off to a bad start. I don't know what they're going for with a restaurant that doesn't have staff to take your order. You have to get up and order everything at the bar and bus your own table. There's one person in particular who is very rude, too. Maybe this is the way she talks to her friends but customers don't want to be cussed at or talked down to when they're ordering food. Avoid the girl with all the tattoos. The food is too expensive for what you get but at least it's good. They have a good beer menu but, again, you have to get up and wait in line every time you want another. It's a nice place but that's only because the Roadhouse (out of business because of PG&E) did all the work. They're going to run this into the ground the way they're going & treating people.
good food and vibe. really nice outdoor seating area
Great place to go for a beer, food and a relaxing atmosphere - especially outside. This is the former Ol’Republic Roadhouse that reopened in August 2020 and they’ve done a great job. It’s only 4 miles outside Nevada City and a beautiful forest area at the corner of Scott’s Flat Road & Hwy. 20.
