To make matters worse, the wait time was exceptionally long, and they were far from transparent about it. The refund procedure was equally frustrating; they kept promising it would be done, but I had no idea when it would actually happen. The Salted Cheese Green Tea has quickly become my go-to beverage option. It's an unexpected pairing that works astonishingly well. The salted cheese layer adds a creamy, slightly salty dimension to the drink, creating a delightful contrast with the green tea's natural bitterness.My other favorite is Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea. This beverage stands out for its balance. The sweetness from the pearls doesn't overwhelm the tea's natural flavor; instead, it enhances it. If my memory serves me right, this beverage doesn't offer the choice to adjust its sugar level.

I love Happy Lemon! I stop by this specific location whenever I'm in Newark. My top drink choices from here are boba milk tea with puff cream, mango matcha, and black tea salted cheese. Love that you can customize your sweetness and ice level. Some drinks are not adjustable, simply because there's no added sugar or it's a fruit smoothie. You can also substitute the milk for some drinks. I've tried boba pearls at many other boba shops, but Happy Lemon's boba pearls are my favorite. I'm obsessed with their bubble waffles too! Additionally, the manager/owner is super chill! He patiently answered all my questions when I first started coming here. Love the ambiance here too: welcoming, clean, and bright!P. S. I came here after having Pho a few doors down at My Tho Restaurant around noon-ish today. There were a party of 4 before me and a few more customers after me. There was only 1 staff and she was awesome. She handled everything so well despite the customers waiting in line. She took the order and completed the order one at a time. Although it took longer but I appreciate her for not making the customers wait as in taking multiple orders at a time. She was calm and friendly.I ordered 3 drinks and an egg waffle. I waited longee to order than I did to receive the order. Generally, I would not have had the patience, but I understood her position and was patient to wait for the assistance.

I usually stray away from yakult/yogurt drinks as many boba spots opt to put yogurt syrup for the flavoring instead, but I could actually taste the unique flavor yakult gives. Wish they would have had a strawberry yakult flavor as I would order that in a heartbeat. Boba was standard.Order came with two other drinks for my friends. They funnily gave us 6 straws.Overall, 6.5/10. Liked what I ordered, but would opt to try something else next time like their strawberry green tea which is very popular.

Hands down that this Happy Lemon got the bestest bubble waffle! Every time I'm in this area, I have the urge and must stop by here for an original bubble waffle. They make it so good!! It's not soggy and the bubble waffle have this QQ chewy taste to it!! It's a must get if you're into that Hong Kong street food "雞蛋仔" :) At Happy Lemon, they do have an extensive list of drink options you can choose from but in my opinion, their most popular drinks will probably be the A1 Green Tea with Salted Cheese or A2 Black Tea with Salted Cheese. The drinks here are made fresh by order and they can adjust most of the drinks sugar or ice level here. The boss here is super nice and have the patience to tell you what each drink entails if you have questions. The shop is always kept neat and clean. They offer indoor seating as well so you can grab some drinks and chill with you friends.P.S. parking is pretty easy in this plaza.
